I have been kind of mulling over the idea of burning some airline miles and taking a strip club trip to Detroit. With the new law some have posted about, I think I ought to do it sooner rather than later. Last time I was there I checked out the Coliseum, the Flight Club, Bogart’s, and the Landing Strip and was favorably impressed by all. I was going to go to Penthouse but they pissed me off by trying to charge me for valet parking even though I self parked legally oa side street so I just left. Anyway, I would appreciate any suggestions from our Detroit members as to what sites should be seen if I make another trip. I would probably stay near the airport.

My suggestions: Flight Club Landing Strip BT's Criket Bogart's Henry VIII (north) Subi's--a little farther away than the other clubs listed

There are a number of chain hotels on I-94 next to the airport. You can Uber to the clubs if you don't want to rent a car and pay for valet parking.

Pretty solid list provided by jackslash and I agree with the order they are listed in as Flight Club clearly is the cream of the crop at the moment.

I just happened to think of something since jackslash mentioned the idea of using Uber to avoid paying valet. Recent radio ads I’ve heard for Flight Club mention something about Uber service. I don’t know what the cost is compared to valet as I always valet my car when I go to the club.

Flight Cub will definitely be on the itinerary. I visited there last time and it was very nice. I want to try Criket also. Last time I tried, went early evening, but couldn't get in. As I recall, I tried what looked like the entrance fronting on Michigan Ave, but the doors were locked. I was in an Uber, and we drove around back and didn't see another entrance, so went to Flight Club instead. I don't know if it was not open yet or what, but it sounds like the kind of mid-range club that I like.

As an outsider that frequently visits Detroit clubs I think the first things you need to determine is how many nights are you going to do this and are you going to drive or cab/Uber to the clubs? Penthouse and Coli are at least a 30 minute drive from BTs, Flight Club, Landing Strip and Henrys. The very best place to stay in all of Detroit (IMO) is Henry Autograph which is close to Flight Club, BTs, Landing Strip and close to the airport. It's also on the fringe of a mall which has several restaurants on the outer perimeter. Probably one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at in America because of all the artwork. [view link] If you're going to do what I normally do... 1 night down in Dearborn/Inkster and the other up on 8 Mile A good hotel kinda in the middle of it all I stay at is the Westin in Southfield. It's in a business complex area, but there's several restaurants within 4 miles away. [view link] Usually I'll stay at the Henry Autograph or somewhere near the airport (if Henry is full or too expensive) and Cab it to the Dearborn/Inkster clubs so I can drink one night, then drive and not drink the other night when I go up to 8 Mile. Remember the casinos downtown if you're into that too, and if you like to play poker PM me and I can give you info on poker rooms very close to many of the hotels.

From one doctor to another, you have already seen the gamet of what Detroit offers from FC to Bogies. Not much has changed, except the Detroit clubs have faced legal trouble. Stick by the airport clubs. Jackslash has a good list. Was pleasantly surprised by my recent trip to Subi’s. No need to go to either Henrys if you have time restrictions. If you need a taste of grit, go with Bogie’s.

With Criket, the parking lot is around the back of the building. The entrance is also around back, not on the side facing Michigan Ave.

Doctor... on Criket, the entrance is in the back. Go around the block and you’ll see a fenced parking lot. Free parking!

Yes, the Criket entrance is in the back. The doors on Michigan Ave are always locked. You would think they would put up a sign. You drive around to the back and you find the free parking lot and the entrance.

I think you understand from everyone that Criket parking and entrance is in the back. Just tell your driver to head to the McDonald's on Kean Street opposite Home Depot and when you pass the McDonald's on your left, the parking lot and entrance to Criket is on the left.

Of course it is best in reverse to grab a big Mac after your exercise session at Criket...

At around 11pm on the weekends cricket turns into an all black club just like follies. On my last visit in march talent at every club but flight club was weak. Legends is the hot club in detroit but it is actually less detroit than the ones Jackslash mentioned.

I'm have been to the Miami area several times. Never been to Detroit. Is there anyone out there that has been to both regions ? How do the women compare ? I'm sure that English being the native language might be a difference.

+1 on Shailynn's recommendation of the Henry. Now part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, it's one of the nicest places I've stayed (in 40 years of business travel) and located near many of the "attractions."

Thanks for all the good advice. The Henry looks very nice, but it's kind of pricey. I don't like paying those kind of rates when I'm not on the company dime. I'd rather spend my money in a club. I'll probably look for a bit more economical hotel near the airport. Actually, I've got enough airline miles, hotel and car rental points that this will basically be a free trip, transportationwise. I'll stay just one night, and I'll probably do what I did last time--use the rental car to go out to 8-mile during the day, then head back to the hotel near the airport and then Uber over to some nearby clubs in the evening. Maybe I'll even give Penthouse a second shot.

Warrior: I have been to both, and have been to high end (Flight Club, Coliseum) and low end (Bogarts), and of course the quality of dancer changes dramatically from high end to low end. They had some gorgeous women in the Flight Club and Coliseum, and some real skanks at Bogarts, although I actually really liked Bogarts, and I did find a girl there that was every bit as good looking as the one I had seen a FC and Coli. The biggest difference was no Cuban invasion, at least not when I was there about 2 years ago I think. One of the biggest differences, if I recall correctly, is that Detroit is topless only, while Miami of course is full nude. Topless only doesn't bother me in the least, especially when pretty much anything is on the menu in the back.

I have often gotten the Henry for around $80 before fees (around $110) after fees on Priceline or Hotwire. I can usually score a hotel around $65 in the airport/Dearborn area. Always at least a 3.5 star. PM me when you know your dates and I can help, ive stayed in just about every goood hotel in that area.

Warrior it’s not even close. Miami wins by a country mile. I’ve seen better quality dancers at cities we’d never even mention here over Detroit. What makes Detroit unique is most of the clubs have large, private VIP rooms where you will not be disturbed, girls go the extra mile, and some clubs are surprisingly fancy. The decore of Coli, Flight Club and Penthouse can easily rival any club in Vegas or Miami. Finding the “ambiance” like this is a midwestern town is quite shocking.

Sounds like it's time to plan another TUSCL meetup in Detroit. Quick, before it gets clean!

The clubs outside of detroit are not affected by law. Just the ones in detroit like legends or penthouse. Flight club is outside of detroit in suburb. Also subis was a nice club I liked. Not really a dive but not too fancy/expensive like the bigger clubs.

For now that is true...... but, if these STATE Reps have their way a law will be passed affecting ALL MI clubs: [view link]

Well, thats state reps from Detroit, all Detroit politicians are Dems, and both houses and governor are Republican. So it is unlikely that bill will ever get out of committee. And theyre too busy with things actually care about.
