Nuns win battle to close down strip club

I see that now. I guess news travels slowly for some people. The article in the link I provided was published 13 hours ago.

The funny thing is that literally right next to (actually to the left of) the shuttered Allure is the relatively new Gold Club (opened around the time that Allure closed) and right next to Gold Club is the long established Scores. They are literally next to each other. I've never seen anything like that before. I guess Scores and Gold Club are just outside the 100 ft range to avoid losing their liquor licenses. All of those clubs were on the sucky side, no pun intended, though...

I often wonder if strip-clubs were "more out of sight" in industrial areas vs neighborhoods or commercial areas, if they would be left more alone.

In other countries strip clubs are not relegated to industrial areas or dangerous slums. The Hustler Club in Paris is just steps off the Champs-Élysées and Go-Go Girls in Tel Aviv is on Allenby Road. The USA need to have a more mature attitude.

Never went but dirk hit the nail on the head. Gold club and scores are right there where allure was. From the reviews it was nothing special. Another overpriced upscale club in an oversaturated market. If the nuns didnt shut it down thats where it was headed anyway. I hope they dont go after gold club cuz i love them $10 laps on thursday. Not gonna get a better deal in the area.

^ Thursday is the ONLY day to go to Gold Club besides other promotional days, party days where they have the same discount pricing. Seriously, $30 for a medium contact topless dance? Even then, i'm still not a fan and would just prefer to go to PoleKatz on Tuesdays. Yes, some of the girls don't do the $10 dances and a couple won't do nude dances either, and the songs seem slightly shorter and PK, but PK seems to get the A team and send the B and C team and worse to Gold Club.

So when Life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
