And because poor behavior is never acceptable even if it happens with some frequency at a certain location. That's like asking why poor people still live in ghettos when there is high crime graffiti and overall bad feelings all over the place. This country is a mess it's meant to keep poor people down and poor girls working in strip clubs
In clubs - some customers act like assholes. Not all customers - but some. If a dancer is unhappy with her job - it’s easy for her to focus on the negative aspects of the job. It’s similar to other jobs where there is a high level of customer interaction.
The anchoring bias is evident. People tend to hold onto the negative aspects of something and obsess about it.
You find this a lot when someone has a loss in investments, relationships, or purchasing something and having buyers remorse. Strippers will vent on you about that one customer who was an asshole, and forget about the 10-15 polite patrons who ogle after them tipping onstage and begging for a dance.
I laugh when people say “I lost so much money in 2008-2009.” No you didn’t, you just choose to focus on that small period of time because people feel the pain of a loss way more than the euphoria of victories.
Working directly w/ the public is often a tough and frustrating job - but strippers complaining about horny guys (asking for sex, etc) is like nurses complaining about sick patients - kinda goes w/ the job.
Actions have consequences - a stripper's job is to turn on men so they empty their wallets on them - but then a stripper should not act all shocked and dismayed about a custy they are turning on that they may wanna have sex, or date her, or w/e.
No means no so if she's not comfortable w/ a custy's demands, then walk away - but wanting *his* $$$ solely on her terms is wanting to have her cake and eating it too.
