Stripper working conditions

You may remember the extensive media coverage last winter about Minneapolis city inspectors going into strip clubs with black lights and chemical tests to find assorted bodily fluids in nearly every club in the city. This article follows up on that, with the city not necessarily looking to put in more regulations on club operations or shut things down but to find out from dancers what they think would make for better working conditions. It's a long read but does get into some of the nitty gritty about the working conditions for strippers in Minneapolis.

"wore extra protection under his clothes in case he became over-stimulated."

Seems like often times strippers want to "have their cake and eat it too". Many of them want tons of money for air dances and vip rooms with no extras and just for looking good. I definitely dont condone forcing yourself on a stripper because you got a vip room. I know stripper work is unpleasant and there are a shit ton of douchebag customers everywhere. But if they dont want to at least give some mileage they should go to air dance clubs where the clientele is trained to expect no mileage(and thus the money may or may not be worse) or find another line of work.

Because strippers are independent contractors, they do not have access to worker's comp. Doing high pole work and drops is fairly risky stuff to do.
