Where over-paying IS okay

Consumer economics 101 - value is determined by the consumer. Insofar as the purchaser's satisfaction with the value received for the money paid, what one may consider over-paying is considered fair value by another. Shadowcat would never pay for a PCM what LDK82 would. LDK82 would never pay for a busty teenage redhead what JS69 would. JS69 would never pay for a Latina what GoVikings would. GoVikings would never pay for a Russian spinner what Shadowcat would, and the cycle goes 'round again. I went to Pensacola with low hopes of finding much of anything to do; but I was not going to sit in my hotel room nor at the hotel bar (after free Happy Hour ended). After poring over the Pensacola reviews, I decided to start with Eden and Babes and work my way down Founder's vamp rating. As dumpy as it looked from the outside, as disappointed as I was during my first beer, my time with the fitness MILF was well spent. I know, rationally, that $100 for 15 minutes behind the red curtain with her was excessively high. I have certainly had higher mileage elsewhere, although she provided more than I had been led to expect. But, especially after observing the muscle MILF at the airport, she was just what I needed and I am satisfied with having paid for two $100 15-minute sessions. I only wish I had caught her before she left to inquire about OTC. I only do that very rarely, and have not done it in 10 years, but she would have been worth a few hundred more (to me). Dark hair, light eyes, perfect fucking 10. I know $100 for 15 minutes is overpaying, but it was worth it with her.

Some times we overpay for some thing because the other option is to go without. If I can go without, I will before overpaying. I have never paid more than $20 for a lap dance and never will. I have a couple of expensive RX's but I still buy them.

There are no set prices in such a realm. And if you like a girl, you might want to show willingness to take care of her, rather than just paying her. SJG

I have general idea of "market rate" when negotiating, but as long as I stick to my budget and I'm happy with the service I receive for the price I don't worry about overpay. I usually have a harder time sticking to my budget than I do with being satisfied with price for services. Once I find a good deal for me, I'm happy to repeat. My budget gets stretched thin the more frequently I do repeat business. That's my main concern.

I don't think $100 for 15 minutes is necessarily overpaying. At about 3 min per song, this would be 5 songs, and would average out to $20 per song, which is the going rate per song in many locations--and much cheaper than the per song rate in Pensacola if I remember correctly. If the dances were lame it would be too much, but if you got good dances I would say it's a fair rate.

The saying "When In Rome" is totally appropriate in situations like this. You're making the best out of the situation you're in. Yes, you can get things much cheaper or "better" at other places, but you're not there right now, you're "here." You just need to throw your dignity aside and go with the flow.

Is it's worth it, i don't think it meets the definition of overpaying.

I agree. Overpaying is dependent on the situation, dancer and your finances. I am pretty stingy when it comes to what I'll pay for extra fun. But there is a fave I would be willing to pay a little more than normal to get with.

200 total (40 room, 10 tip to waitress, 150 to dancer) is the typical nightshift 30min VIP cost at Oasis in Atlanta; no 15min option YMMV on what you actually get behind the curtain, but it is usually at least some HM contact dances. I've gambled there many times, mainly on nights when I've decided to stay so late that my "sure thing" FBSM place is already closed, or I've met a dancer so hot I know I would be happy just to get my hands and (hopefully) mouth on her. I've spent 200 total in VIP on occasion at Follies (a 50 premium over typical 150 rate), but that's always been a situation where I knew what I was going to get before I went, and what I was going to get was pretty substantial.

Mr. gammanu, the price you paid does not seem out of line. Around here I spend about $100 for 24-25 minutes of continuous lap dancing ($90 plus $10 tip). That was for $15 dances and no privacy. When they changed to $10 dances with clipped songs it was still worked out to the same $100 for 24 minutes. :-)

@Joc: Instead of gambling with a $200 VIP hoping you'll get what u want, why not square that away ahead of time with the girl prior to doing the VIP.

@papi most of the girls at Oasis are notoriously non-committal due to the precarious legal situation the club is in. I've even heard that the owner will send people in trying to get the girls to say upfront what they will do in VIP, and they get in trouble or get fired if they do. That's why it's a crap shoot. It's not that extras aren't available, but it's not like Follies where a girl can walk up to and say "Are you ready for your blow job yet?" or "My pussy needs some dick. Is yours available?" (Actual lines used on me by dancers.). There has been a few really straightforward girls at Oasis, but they are risking their job or criminal accusations when they do. So, I don't really consider doing VIP there any more and when I tell a dancer why when she asks if I'm interested, it is now more likely that I receive an interesting counter proposal rather than an angry dancer walking away. Girls need to make money, right?

@ joc, though it has been over a year, agree 100% with your read and methods at Oasis.

"... most of the girls at Oasis are notoriously non-committal due to the precarious legal situation the club is in ..." Well - they gotta commit at some-point (w.r.t. the ones that do extras) - I don't see the difference b/w committing upfront outside of VIP and committing once inside VIP, they could get busted either way.

As DrE mentioned, you paid the equivalent of a fair per-dance avg; thus you really didn't overpay. I probably would have not done-it b/c I like variety and don't like sinking too-much $$$ in any one dancer; but if I found her hot-enough I probably would on occasion just not regularly.

Sure, one experience is worth two different prices to two different consumers, but consumers as a whole set the market rate. It's tuscl vs. stripperweb, pussy consumers vs. the pussy cartel. We're all in this together, and so if too many RICH STUDS start throwing too much money around because it's all the same to them, it hurts Joe Schmo PL. You hear a lot of public censure about this on a certain other forum where mongers share their BP experiences.

I'm not too concerned about Joe Schmo PL. I admit freely to being an elitist prick. You're never going to get a Ford Raptor for the price of a Nissan Versa. There are Nissan Versa dancers and whores out there for those who can't afford better, I'm happy to pay more for quality.

@papi "I don't see the difference b/w committing upfront outside of VIP and committing once inside VIP, they could get busted either way." I agree with you, but I think there's a lot of naive belief that if the customer gives them money first then they're safe for one of two reasons: 1) LE (or investigators for local political jurisdiction) won't/can't pay as part of a bust, 2) since no specific acts were discussed, the money was for "time" only, and anything else was consensual acts between legal adults (the typical escort BS) Now, there are girls there that will talk specifics. Last Friday I talked to two girls, one of which was upfront about her strict VIP rules (gotta respect her for that) and the other told me she wanted to suck my dick and swallow my cum. Usually, I'd expect the 2nd to be a ROB pitch, but seeing how it came from a maybe-5 overweight shot girl charging inflated shot girl prices, it was probably a legit offer since that's the only way she'd be able to generate business.
