Don Rickles died today. I grew up watching him on the Johnny Carson show and many other variety shows. He made a living out of being very politically incorrect long brefore the term was coined.

I have no doubt that he would be accused of all kinds of racial and sexist slurs today. No on has a sense of humor anymore. To many self-important assholes like the Hollyweed denizens, the Harry Reids, the Bush's, the Pelosi's and all the other superfluous piles of shit who think that they are above criticism and satire. The country has become a gaggle of honking thin skinned wussies! The only people left who have thick enough skins to take a joke and laugh at it are RedNecks, Hillbillies and Pollacks. If you make a joke about anyone else you are called Nazi, Racist, Homo-phobe, sexist ...the list goes on and on. I am proud to be a redneck from the midwest who has worked since he was 14 years old and has little patience for those who "can't find work that fullfills them" suck it up you buttercup work hard then MAYBE you might earn a better job... Just because you have a masters degree in ancient celtic dialects does not mean you will find a job in your field and the world does not owe a reward for your stupid educational choices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He was b/f my time but I knew of him.
He lived till 90 and had a very long successful career - he did well for himself.
Don Rickles was awesome, I think he got away with his shtick because he had a sharp mind with a sharp tongue and his timing was remarkable. There have been insult comedians since but lets be honest, Andrew Dice Clay comes across as a blunt object, Lisa Lampenelli is a shrill fingernail on a chalkboard.... Rickles on the other hand knew how to cut surgically and how to make it funny. Don was an equal opportunity offender, it was a badge of honor to be dissed by him. I'm definitely taking time this week to watch Kelly's Heroes again. I think he's up there tearing God to pieces and leaving all the angels laughing... all I can say is Give 'em Hell, Don!
Funny man Mr. Warmth, was one of my favorite comedians thru many years, I doubt that any one will be able to get away with using his brand of humor again.
