Although weed is legal in Massachusetts, they have yet to sell it here as the Government in Taxachusetts needed "more time" to figure out how to tax it. My regular connection for the last 12 years came up with "ghost train" the last two times. I fear legal weed, manufactured corporately is going to put small boutique growers out of business and the quality will suffer. If you haven't smoked ghost train yet and you enjoy weed, you are missing out.

I wouldn't sweat the big corps much. Big Tobacco, Big Beer and iTunes rule the world, but you can still find boutique smokes, micro brews and vinyl LPs if you try.
I know that I can buy beer at the store (and I do), but I also enjoy homebrewing my own beers, meads, and ciders.
That said, pot isn't my thing. I believe it should be legal, but it's not my thing.
And while the quality of the flower may sometimes not be as good, the quality and availability of edibles and concentrates is vastly superior under legalized weed. Also the selection of all forms of marijuana is simply amazing in a good legal store.
For those of you who don't do marijuana, you should start. Trust John and skibum, we are lawyers after all. And nothing besides perhaps viagra can enhance a strip club experience like some good MaryJane.
Everyone picks their own poison.
All it ever did for me was to make me want to go to sleep.
I had a good friend who practiced criminal defense law in New Bedford and he frequently would barter for his fees from fishermen, drug charges, etc. I remember once he gave me 10 lbs of fresh scallops which was part of a fee he collected. He developed esophageal cancer and started smoking weed to minimize the effects of chemo and he had clients who paid him off with some primo 420. Bless his soul, it didn't extend his life but made the last few months more bearable.
