Sorry if I have been cynical lately

Sorry if I've been sounding a little cynical lately (as a few of you have PM'd me and told me). Just kinda tired of the stripper shit and drama I've been dealing with. I don't know if it's just because I'm getting older or what, but the last couple years it almost seems that the number of ROBs and non committal dick teases have increased tenfold. I miss the days where I could just go to a SC and the games being minimal. I'm sure that things haven't changed and its most likely me, just tired of the BS!

I'm taking a break, too. Just short on tolerance for flakiness and phony pitches, so maybe my cup has over-floweth with BS. Time to empty the cup.

I've spent days normally devoted to clubbing by getting chicken wings and a beer while watching sports at a local brewery with a huge selection on draft. The wings are phenomenal and no upsell from disingenuous staff.

S'Ok,impala, shit happens, I've had my share of SS, too. I don't club as much as I used to. I do other things, it's a refreshing break. Hang in there.

    1) As we get older people tend to have their shit more together and have already learned from their mistakes & don't care to repeat them & don't wanna deal w/ BS

    2) SCs are a seedy business where everybody is looking for their pound of flesh ($$$) and many will lie cheat & steal to get theirs, it's the nature of the beast

You can either step-away for a bit or adjust your expectations, i.e. don't expect anything and you may not be as disappointed, don't take the SS personally, the SS is part of the game, but the more one SCs the more the SS can add up.

When you start thinking this way it's time for a break. Sometimes the break becomes permanent. Just think of the money you'll save.

Change the scenery, try some new places. Unless you're stuck in a town with too few options, like mine.

I think it's more that I just notice the shit more. I think that when I was younger I either ignored it or just didn't notice it as much (or just didn't care). Just sooooo tired of the sob stories and everything. Found myself telling a dancer the other night (after she was bitching about not being able to get another job) that the reason she was a stripper was because of all the stupid choices she had made in her life.

Papi is exactly on the right track.

As I get older I have a much lower tolerance for bullshit and drama. I even hang out with my close friends much less these days because they haven't grown out of the drama that has seem to plague their life. One has wife issues, one has money issues and the other has jealousy issues of everyone else in the group. 10 years ago I could deal with its, now, I'm just like "you guys need to shut the fuck up, and I'll just go home and watch the football game by myself."

I agree with Papi less tolerance for drama comes with getting older and wising up and it's not just exclusive to strippers.

I think the SC SS is why many older guys start preferring the less drama filled dayshift - I'll be turning 47 soon and especially over the last 1.5 years I often can't tolerate the nightshift at many SCs (that goes for many of the dancers and many of the custies) - 2 or 3 weeks ago out of boredom I went to Tootsies on a Sat eve after midnight and I managed to stay close to an hour but I wanted to leave 10 minutes after I got there, stuck-up dancers (I hate cocky people) thinking they are god's gift to the world and a whole bunch of chick custies just dancing to the music like it was a nightclub (didn't get one dance which is rare for me) more and more of my nightshift visits I find underwhelming

If there's one thing 90% of strippers hate, it's legitimate advice to get their lives on track. Usually it's "save money while you can, don't live by yourself, don't get KTFU and go to school for something you can tolerate". "Artist" is not a legitimate career path.

I do enjoy and respect the girls who have day jobs like nursing or office work with a 401k and health insurance who still strip to pay for clothes shoes bags and cars. I fully respect running out the clock on their 20s before setting into the drudgery of their real job.

Papi that's why i like clubbing with a few guys because when the boys are together the strippers that are stuck up as shit tend to try harder. I have gone to Tootsies myself a few times and walked out because it was too much shit, but when i go with 2 or 3 other guys I always have a blast. It's always better when the girls have to work a group, when you are alone you are usually at a disadvantage.

impala I completely agree with you that it ain't no fun to be taken advantage of that's why I have really cut back on my strip clubbing I find that i have a better time with the boys at a sports bar than I have been having in the strip clubs. That's not to say I don't have female's around me, but I am getting tired of the constant hustle and it's more fun pounding drinks and watching the games with buddies both male and female instead of blowing 3-500 dollars a night just to have a crowd when you can interact with a group as friends then go home and/or a motel and get laid for less than one third of that amount.

I am right there with you. I will always love women. But, the BS you have to go through to get a girlfriend or
even a lapdance for that matter exhausts me. I got so frustrated I posted a discussion topic not long ago announcing
I was quitting. But I read your post and had to respond. I went to the same club two days in a row attempting to get a dance from the same girl. Both days I failed. Turns out it was for the best because she always asks me what I am doing that night after clubbing. She is beautiful but so annoying. I just want a dance. I go to several different clubs to keep my opitons open. This has helped me.

You know what I think Impala, stop by the club to get worked up then hit AMP on way home. Best of both worlds.

Don't get me wrong, love the AMPS, but if I'm going to a SC I want to have fun at the SC. And if you go to one then the other, can get really expensive really quick. I look at it this was, like renting a Mercedes and letting it sit in your driveway then after it sits there a while buying a Cadillac, just paid a bunch of money to look at something then paying more for something else!
