oddest / coolest / weirdest gimmick you've seen used at a SC
gothamyte
from that Adam Westsiiiide of Gotham
it was like $5 per song to go in with a dancer.
dudes had to remove their shoes first before going in. dancers went in naked tho.
i shoulda paid that $5. just to have a memory.
from what i could see, it was rumblin' in there with all those dancers and dudes jumping around
i left before i saw anyone ever come out. i only saw people going in
i think the moonbounce was left over from a prior event at the same venue

told myself if i ever saw it used again, i'd force myself to try it
funny thing is: i'm normally the type to try something like that.
i have no idea why i didn't bother. i had money on me
nobody paid attention to the moonbounce when the club opened at first
then like after 45 minutes, this one dude shrugged, asked the nearest dancer to join him
half hour later, there was a long line. nobody was coming out only people goin in
by the way, that moonbounce was huge.
to this day, i wish i stuck around to see them break it down afterwards
i can't remember if i saw a flyer in my car about it or if i happened to stumble on a post about in on the internets--you know how you come across like random posts on backpage or back then craigslist or whatever it was back then--this was like before 9/11 early 2000s, but internet posts where there's a part about strippers and someone will post 'there's a party downtown with strippers and an orgy afterwards"...but back then when it was legit and they'd actually follow up with what they posted, not like nowadays where it's more of a scam or bait
so if i saw the post online it said a certain club needed to drum up business so the dancers were giving BJs for a limited time. this was either mentioned directly on the flyer or mentioned on the internets. that was the only reason i went. incidentally, this was the same SC that had the moonbounce but that was many years later. lol. i had known this SC was there it had been around for like a year but they were trying to drum up business.
so i went and you can see the vip booths set up and you can see the bare knees of dancers because the Vip booths had "doors" that didn't reach the ground--doors only reached your calves if you're standing up, let's say. so i was like wow they really doing it like the flyer said. like they weren't hiding it. weren't discreet.
i won't forget that this club actually put it out there that they were offering BJs to customers for a limited time to help increase patronage. because at that time, i wasn't into VIP action in those days. i'd go to the strippies and not spend a dime. i remember i strictly went to see if it was true.
yep, i got a CBJ and then CFS with the same broad who was like an 8. i remember asking her first about this gimmick and she said they were trying to drum up buisness. the location of the club was like going to the batcave. so they needed a temp gimmick,
man i missed those early days when folks actually followed up with a gimmick
There was another club in my area which had a beach volleyball setup within a fenced in area. Supposedly, you could play beach volleyball with your favorite strippers. I don't think they had it in use when I was actively going to that club, which is long gone, but I thought it was odd they would have one, so I asked about it and the bartender told me the story. I don't think playing volleyball with strippers in heels is a good idea, One wonders what Natasha, my former college volleyball playing favorite, would think of that.
There was the dancer that did a horrible ventriloquist act on stage.....and she was too old to be stripping.
Some clubs gave out porn videos with lap dances.
