I have to agree, whenever I'm speaking with someone with a strong accent that is hard to understand and they excuse their bad English I usually reply that you're doing better than I could in your language. Still, I did get a kick out of his writing.

I never criticize someone who is learning a language for trying to write in it. My old atf was from Romania and she would text things that were slightly off at times but her English overall was excellent. I marvel at how quickly people can learn English but I don't know how quickly I could learn their language.
