Books about dancers or strip clubs

I know this may be asking a lot for some guys, but what books have you read that featured dancers and/or strip clubs? Did they present the feel of the club or just a detached description? Are they current or more about the good old days?

I'm not looking for dirty books, just ones in which strip clubs play a major part, along the lines of the 80's movie "Scandal" (which wasn't a book but was an article or series in one of the tabloids),

    Right here:

    http://www.amazon.com/Stripper-Lessons-J…

By the same guy who wrote Leaving Las Vegas.

One stripper / kept mistress of a Mafia guy

One PL who works a shit office job and gets kicked around a lot

Really good book, actually a great deal of light in it.

Thanks SJguy. I'll look into that one. I did read Bare by Elisabeth Eaves but it didn't seem that real to me. I also noticed Love For Rent just came out but not sure if it is a good read.

    Any more suggestions?

When I publish my memoirs about my SC mongering, I'll give you guys a generous discount.

    Thank you!

And I'm assuming this will mainly be a book about DATY.

For a woman, how much difference do the dolling up and the high heels make?

As a man, and as a fetishist, it is everything. I want the woman to be this OTHER. I want her to be playing a role for me.

But for a female PL I would suspect that that stuff is secondary? No?

I think mostly it goes up because they publish the index. People see it going up, so they put money in, and that makes it go higher.

Oh well. Do not walk under high rises!

I read this book a few years ago. It was not great but decent.

Also, I'm writing a book that has the working title My Life With Strippers. However, contrary to popular opinion, I do have a full time job so it'll be a while before I get it all written. I'm not just going to repeat my tuscl posts.

JS69, I'm sorry, but I am still concerned about you. I don't want to see your book get published posthumously.

Maybe if you start spending your time working on the book, and start laying off of the marijuana, you'll start settling down. Then I won't have to be so worried for you.

Harlan Coben is one of my favorite authors, and many of his novels reference SCing. It is a central part of Stay Close. A really good read

@SJG- I love a woman in heels. It's sexy as hell. In a stripclub I don't necessarily want her all dolled up to the point that it takes too long to get her naked.....but I love light makeup, long nails in dark polish, and all of the usual feminine (and ultra feminine) trappings.

Never even considered books about strippers or strip clubs .. I wonder if there's any picture books .. Don't really wanna read too many words far as strip clubbing other than reviews

Most of the books are fiction. But there are also non-fiction.

This is good, though only secondarily about Strip Clubs:

    And then:
    http://www.amazon.com/Bare-Women-Dancing…

And Lopaw, thank you for explaining that. I had always wondered, and I've read things which take different views.

The book I mentioned is not about SCing. It is a thriller whose main character is a suburban soccer mom who gets drawn back to the lifestyle. Total fiction, but you can tell that the author spent significant time in clubs.
