Seems extras are becoming more common-place in many areas as compared to back in the day; so supplementing their income via some escorting seems like a natural progression – 1 or 2 tricks in one day vs an 8-hour shift which may not be guaranteed to be a profitable one.
My dataset is not enough but I have never seen any stripper who also advertise at the same time on backpage.
I do have met a few on backpage who had previously worked as stripper in past..
I ha e never used backpage - I admit when I'm traveling to a different city I may look at it but I only see 2 things: 1. Skanks, or 2. Ads that seem too good to be true and the one I can't see, L.E.
Depends on the city. Some cities it's quite prevalent, others not so much. Still, for any city where I have visited clubs enough time to recognize many of the dancers, if I look at backpage escort ad's I will typically recognize at least one as a dancer.
Some on here will Google strippers' phone #s to see if something comes up – I have never really done that b/c I don't really care; but the last time this type of thread came up about a month ago; I Googled the most recent stripper # I had gotten and sho enough I got a hit for an escort ad w/ pics that def matched the dancer (but it was not Backpage)
I entered every stripper phone number that I have (and I have alot) into Google and not one of them got a hit as an escort number. I don't know if I should be happy or sad.
"So tell me shalynn how do you tell LE from just a AD ?"
I don't know how to determine LE - my point was, in the extreme rare occasion when something looks good, and not too good to be true, I still have a fear of LE so I pass.

You can never be 100% sure if it's LE. Best thing you can is do your research and trust your gut. Do a Google or Tineye check on phone numbers and images. If they crop up in too many sites -- particular if some are from overseas -- you've got a scam going on. If they don't have any reviews on any of the more trusted sites, it could be a big gamble. If they only have one or two reviews -- particularly by reviewers who only have one or two reviews under their belts -- the best you're dealing with is a shill or the escort herself; the worst would be either LE or someone ready to mug anyone who walks through the door. Your best shot at screening problems would be to back-channel information with folks you trust.
I'm not sure where the OP is, but like many others here, I have not seen this trend. It's always been my belief that girls who choose to work in strip clubs as opposed to escorting or cam sites do so, in part, because it is the best way to fly under the radar. This is probably even more the case nowadays given the facial recognition technology out there.

To the OP and others, most clubs don't want their dancers to be known as escorts, because it brings LE. Many clubs will do their own internet searches and if they find out the dancer has an advertisement out there they will be fired.
Some dancers have changed phone #s or given fake names/#s to their clubs because they've done escorting or outside of the club work before, and now they want to strip.
Don't know hardly anything about backpage but the old circuit city tv repairman apparently could hook you up if you wanted. Shadiest guy I ever met or had in my house. He had me talking with one of his girlfriends while working on my tv. Did a terrible job fixing my tv. I wasn't surprised when circuit city went out of business. Couldn't even find a tv in their showroom that was on display and working correctly.
My emails been hacked. I get several million dollar offers just about every week if I just provide my contact info. I imagine backpage is similar. Not something I would trust.

You make a good point. She can also post a much higher rate then in the club to a much bigger audience, then just cherry pick the big spenders.

Backpage is very dangerous especially now that posting ads on there are free. But when a stripper posts an ad using pics from the dressing room of the club that at least shows you she not LE, but she could still be a ROB.

Wow, clubs doing background checks on dancers? Whats next, drug screens? lol.
Estafador, it really isn't a lot of work, maybe 10-15 minutes if you're focused on just one or two possibilities. And a little research is a helluva lot cheaper than a few hours in a strip joint.

I 100 percent Agree

All major cities.

a good # of ads on Backpage have fake pics – and LE can also use a fake pic
