"I don’t understand why there are exotic dancers that are like 25 and up."

Me either sweetheart. I'm like wtf are these girls doing naked. Don't they know that they're not 19 anymore.

The Blue Flame Lounge is a black ghetto club with shitty reviews.

^I'm going to assume most tuscl reviewers are old white guys like yourself. I would guess the young ghetto black kids like it better than the typical tuscl reviewer.

Interesting article. Well at least she has a plan. I always have a plan and they don't work out all the time, or take longer to achieve than I anticipated.

I hope she does some serious stripping in the next four years because where I come from, funeral homes are pretty damn expensive to own. I'm willing to bet she's still stripping after she turns 25 but here's to hoping she doesn't have to...

I think she's typical of a regular poster at SW. She would be eaten alive here in TUSCL. It's just dumb to say she can't understand why a dancer would dance at 25 or older. I'll bet the average 30 year old dancer makes a LOT more money than a 21 year old dancer from experience alone. I also bet she'll be dancing well in to her 30's and beyond.

Rockstar666 - I am a regular poster at SW, and she does not sound like them. A lot of the regular posters are 25+ (not me though). I will not get eaten alive here, trust me. There was already a thread about me here long before I started posting and I joined the discussion.

Anyway, besides that, I agree with you. In fact, I've always been one of the youngest "top earners" at the clubs I've danced at. At my current club, most of our top girls are in their mid to late 20s, and a few are over 30. I'm actually one of the younger major hustlers.

I plan on being done when I'm 30, after I have my degrees and am more ready to settle down and not have a flexible life lol.

I haven't even read the article, just feeding off comments already posted. I'm going to read it now although it sounds like it's kinda bullshit.

Well I read it, and it's good that she has a plan for herself, but I don't know how she rationalizes to stop dancing at 25 when these days it usually takes people a good 6 or 7 years to get a "four year" bachelor's degree, and how many post-bachelor's jobs are out there that pay what a good stripper can make? And the average age of a grad student is 33. It would make no sense for me to quit dancing after my bachelor's degree, which I am close to getting. I think she's just naive.

Over this past summer I stopped at the Dairy Queen near my old high school and ran into a girl I went to school with who has her bachelor's degree now... She was the one who served me my ice cream! I couldn't believe that was still her summer job. Meanwhile I'm making as much as someone with an advanced degree...

Why would she say The Blue Flame Lounge is the Number One Club?

Does she mean in Atlanta? Lol

“… Atlanta’s music scene has been catapulted by its thriving strip club culture. But while the music and artists are often the focal point …”

That was the first sentence of the article and why many of the black strip clubs I visit piss me off – they put the emphasis on the music and not the strippers (and thus why one can get 30-second songs b/c the DJ wants to show off his skiillz) – if this is gonna be the case (music over strippers) then don’t call it a strip-club b/c in a strip-club IMO it’s about the women and not the damn music or wanna be hip-hop stars.

They should change the name of her club from “Blue Flame” to “Blue Balls” with their no-touch shit.

Can't touch? Not even white fat "whales" would enjoy it much less "ghetto" youth. What kind of money she making? Shit from hooters? If that rule is strictly enforced, why isn't it bankrupt yet?

@NINA while it's true, the average starting salary for us young bucks straight outta college is around 35-40K a year, if you do good in your field and constantly upgrade your work skills, within 6-7 years she could make 80-100K depending on her field. Sure you could PROBABLY make that right now, if you fucking georgous right out the box, but you can't use your looks forever and cake-up makeup isn't sexy, not to mention. By the time you turn 25 in the business, your sharing your bills with some 19yr old I'm sure. Better off using your brain for long term high dollars vs your sex appeal for short term dollars. ESPECIALLY if you have no real definete plan after your income trickles downward.

Estafador: Unlike most major cities, Atlanta is a city full of black people that are high rollers. Many rappers, singers, drug dealers, professional athletes, porn stars, and celebrities go to Blue Flame almost every weekend and money is no object to them. I always call it Magic City's little sister. Hence the reason why I don't go to neither of those clubs.

still I would assume that they go there because they are horny fuckers. Do they really care about not touchng and oblige to that. If I had to spend big bucks at a place, I want to make sure I get the FULL service, not the gallary tour at a museum.

Things are different in Atlanta. Those types of strip clubs are clubs that people go to "to be seen" by others. Some rappers go just for PR and promotion. Strip club culture in Atlanta is very different from anywhere else. Down here, they treat the black strip clubs almost like nightclubs complete with a line and a high ass cover charge and parking fees. It is much more of a party atmosphere to the extent that it is like being in a rap video where they just spoil the dancers by making it rain on them. Ironically, some of them barely spend money despite them being rich.

^thats how a lot of the strip clubs are in Atlanta. Its like a party or a nightclub with strippers. Must be a black thing.

A good # of people are not hardcore strip-club goers – many people go occasionally and often go more for the party/social aspect that the freak/sex aspect; e.g. a lot of people may hit a regular dance club or bar and then stop by the SC late in the eve – and now a days it seems vogue for women to hit the SCs and most of them go just for the show/ambiance and thus not necessarily for the sexual/physical part of it – thus one has sorta upscalish SCs with nice décor; lighting; good sound-systems and DJs; good-ambiance; good-drinks; nice looking dancers; etc; and many non-hardcore SCers may prefer these types of places.

Additionally; many areas/cities in ATL have strict no-touch ordinances so these clubs are more of the norm and not a fish-out-water.

Airdance club zzzzzzz. But more power to her if she can earn what she needs just airdancing. Her face and boobs are second to none. I'm sure airdancing is a lot easier on a dancer's personal life than high contact.

I don't know where in my post you got the idea that I was insinuating against college, I was explaining that her idea of a women not dancing at 25 because she should have a "plan" is BS because these days many people haven't even completed their degree and the ones who have are having trouble finding work, let alone a good paying on with benefits. This is why I am going to graduate school. Why would I quit dancing at 25 if I can dance through grad school instead of suffer financially? If someone's looks are going to shit after turning 25, then they age like milk and probably didn't look that good at 19 either. My end goal is a law degree, and I won't stop dancing until I have gotten my law degree and passed the bar exam. 100K is NOT hard to make if you're a stripper who works more than a couple days a week and is good at her job. 100K is NOT easy to make with a bachelor's degree, but your philosophy is to stop stripping, take the 35K, and wait 6-7 years of your life to make real money, but don't strip while you're waiting. Sorry, my philosophy differs from yours.

As far as, 'By the time you turn 25 in the business, your sharing your bills with some 19yr old I'm sure.' what does that mean? I'm around the corner from 25 and never got a memo about having to 'share bills' with anyone.

That post of mine was quoting Estafador.^

And let's remember that not ALL girls have to use stripping for school, although that was my personal plan from the beginning because I wanted a comfortable lifestyle while I embark on multiple degree journey. Some girls strip until their 40s and retire with saved money and investments. I find nothing wrong with that, although I'd like to be done by 30 so I can have a family and a career. I don't want to be a married stripper. That is not going to happen. But I don't look down on those who are.
