First, there was a number of shark attacks off the Carolina coast.

Now, an alligator killed a man in Texas. It's believed to be the first fatal alligator in Texas (at least in recorded recent history).

    I saw this story on another news site, and it included pictures of the guy. He looked like someone who would say, "Hold my beer. I wanna swim with that gator."
