An adult entertainment club in Las Vegas has agreed to pay a $25,000 fine and give up its state gaming licenses after a number of incidents including shootings and brawls.

Foxy Girls, owned by John and Nicholas Herda, has agreed to a settlement with the state Gaming Control Board in a case that dates to 2004. The owners say the stipulation is to avoid a prolonged suit or legal action.

The business, at 3013 S. Highland Drive, has a restricted license for slot machines.

The original complaint said Metro Police have responded to numerous calls of shootings and finding customers with drugs. Also, some employees never had work cards.

The business reported catering to gang members. There was an earlier settlement, but the board withdrew that after more incidents that brought police to the scene.

The state Gaming Commission accepted the stipulation last Thursday.

As Hamlet said,

"For who would bear the whips and scorns of time, Th' oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely, The pangs of despised love, the law’s delay,"
