How are you celebrating BattleBots return to tv? :)

YES!!! I was flipping between that and the Open, as I'm on my porch and don't have DVR. My engineer son said the reason the new bots are so powerful is he advances in battery power. The modern electronics are an upgrade as well.

Hopefully enjoying it, and it isn't a bust. Well, other than the loserbots!

Battlebots are brilliant! Way better than tennis in my opinion!

I sat on the couch with little 4got2usethepapers and we watched! Considered bringing out 4got2ribbitt's terrarium so we'd be a boy and his dog and their frog, bit that seemed like overkill!

Regardless, all I can say is:

Fighting robots = super brilliant!

What did the fighting robot aficionados think about the robot that had the gasoline engine? That bad boy looked like it was about to catch on fire after it won! Brilliant! Just brilliant! ;)

Wishing they were really robots, and not remote controlled cars with remote controlled weapons.

That one robot with no wheels or way to turn around and kinda bounced around with the spinner in front was sad. youtube.com

I don't get why they are allowed smaller robots to got with the main robot. It's s/b one robot against the other.

There must be a BattleBots Commissioner I can email with my well thought out complaints!!! :O

Clubber, the problem is the bouts are short and they have a lot of time to kill to make an hour show. I was watching the US Open and flipping back when they were ready to fight. I'll record it next Sunday so I can have an action packed half hour.

I agree they need to add more matches per hour. But at least that host in the green dress was hottt.

I understand the short bouts, but still, just add another bout or five. :)

There are a limited number of "robots" available for these things. Takes a fair bit of cash to build one, and not a lot of ROI potential.

So if they had more bouts per episode, they'd have to have fewer episodes, thus reducing potential ad revenue.
