  Diana Doll, Eve Laurence and others are pretty common on the site you can access through gamelink(name currently escapes me).
  
  I ran across Diana Doll on it and couldn't help myself. Rates were reasonable and she gave a great show.

  Is there that much money in camming or are these girls desperate for work?
  
  I dated a stripper turned cam model and several years ago she was #2 in the monthly contest for mfc babe and 8th the next month. She ended up making over $100,000 those 2 months but she was quickly replaced by younger and newer models. The reason she had such a surge in popularity was she got a new set of tits and they were really nicely done. When she was getting close to having a chance at winning her regular customers got behind her and tipped the shit out of her page to get her up there.
  
  Now I think she averages more around 50k a year from the site which is still pretty good considering she doesn't even leave her house for work. She treats is like a full time job and usually works 5 days a week at least 6 hours a day. One thing interesting, she's almost 40 and thanks to lighting and cams she looks more like 30 on the cam, looks rode hard and put away wet in person.

  I just don't get the attraction of watching a girl on a monitor versus going to a club and having a hottie bounce on your lap in person. And to pay to watch her? I just don't understand it.

  There is lots of money in camming. The main draw is you can select your hours and how much you really want to work. Also you can work from home. Or it can be supplemental income for people and you only work 3 to 4 hours extra and make bank in those 3-4 hours.
  
  I think the pornstars do it to get extra cash and increase fan base. This way they don't have do the escorting thing and still connect with fans on an intimate level.

  I go on streamate.com from time to time – it’s a huge cam site and sometimes during peak hours (weekend eves) I’ve counted as many as 800 “live girls” and I’ve come across several porn actresses that I either recognized or they actually post on their bio they are/were (porn actresses).
  
  No doubt a “live girl” via the SC is better; but:
  
  + although a step (or 2) below a live girls in the SC; a webcam is one step above a porn magazine – so anyone that enjoys looking at porn magazines (or even porn vids) would like watching cam girls and that would be a step above porn-vids/mags IMO
  
  + it’s convenient – i.e. one does not have to leave the house
  
  + large, very large, variety of women – often times I’ll find many cam women I don’t find in SCs but wish I could (e.g. very thick, curvy, and very *naturally* busty; women)
  
  
  It is not a substitute for SCing; but can be a nice complement when one does not want to blow a couple of hundred in the SC or does not have the time to hit the SC.

  I see the draw of camming for the girls doing it, since it obviously is huge and has a huge fan base. I don't get the attraction of it from a customer perspective. But to each their own, I guess. I've only tried it once - a hot blonde stripper also cammed on the side and she invited me to check out her room on the Playboy network. So I leave her club where this babe had wiggled around all over me for an hour for cheap and next I find myself staring at her on screen, in a "chat room" with some real assholes demanding that she do certain stuff. Not asking - DEMANDING. And they weren't even paying anything - it was the free cam page. Pffft. Never again.
