hey davids

Before you go - you asked to give an update on my story of getting together with a stripper outside the club. Here goes:

So back around Christmas, I meet this stripper for the first time. We have a great talk, she gives a good dance (just one dance..no extras), I get ready to go, and she says "maybe next time I see you we can have a beer together or something". Huh... Wasn't sure what to make of that one, so decided not to give it some time before coming back. Also, I was in the early stages of a relationship and didn't want anything to complicate that, even just hanging out with as friends.

Fast forward to February. I'm single, and figure what the heck...and head back to the club. Talking to her roommate, I find she's just left for a trip, and won't be back in a month or so.

I come back in late March. A friend of hers says she's coming back the next night. I come back then, but she's busy with a customer. I hang out with another dancer, but have to leave shortly to get to a meeting. On the way out, she spots me. We talk very quickly, she gives me her number, and says call in a few hours. She mentions having two younger brothers, and they're going to head out for dinner after she gets done. She's only in town for a few days before heading out on another trip, and won't be back until the Summer.

I go to my meeting, hit the mall, then with an hour to kill, end up dropping in at another club. While there, a dancer I've never met before offers to see me outside the club to drink and smoke weed (gee...when it rains, it pours, doesn't it?). That's not really my thing anyway, plus the previous offer seemed a lot more genuine, so I passed. It was pretty funny seeing the look on her face when I told her "sorry, but I already have plans with another dancer tonight".

Get a call from her around 11. She's decided to head out for the night, but her brothers are sleeping. No problem. I figure the brothers are a requirement to make sure I'm not a serial killer. She says call tomorrow, which I do around 6. She's running errands, on her way back to the club for a night shift. I do a workout, and went a little crazy from excitement I guess, because by 9 or so I'm too tired to stand. I leave a voicemail message, saying sorry but I can't make it tonight, have a good trip.

About a month ago, I see her car outside one night, and decide to take another shot. I don't see her at first, but after a while she comes by, and asks if I'm waiting for someone. I smile and say "what do you think?". She says "ok, I'll come back later". Ouch. I figured now would be a good time to give up, but to be fair it had been over 2 months and I'm sure she's seen a thousand faces. I get a couple other dances while waiting for her to be free again. On the way out, I sit down next to her, and say "sorry, I didn't recognize you at first" (her hair was a little different). She's scanning my face, and after a while she starts smiling. I say it's time for me to head home, and she says her too (it's around midnight on a weeknight). She says she's going to a certain Casino first, winks, and walks off. I cruise for a little bit, get some caffeine to try and stay awake, but it doesn't help much. I do see her car at the casino, but it's near 1 at this point and I've got an early meeting the next day, don't exactly look or feel too good, and pretty much despise casinos. I decide to go home, take a quick shower and change. By the time I get back, her car is gone, and I'd left her number back at home (genius).

You asked for the story, and that's it so far... At this point, I figure there's really no harm in doing this. Not costing any money or emotional involvement, and it's kind of fun. Any type of relationship is pretty much out of the question for several reasons, but it would be cool to get to know her and hang out as friends, so I'm still in the game. Just gotta pick the right night were I can actually stay out until 3 AM...

Jpac - I should have mentioned the age, since that's very relevant - she's 30, and I'm in my late 20s. She reacted the way she did because either she took it to mean I was waiting for someone, but not her. Up to this point I've invested $50 and 2 hours trying to get together with her, over the last 6 months. I don't consider that a waste.

Davids - Funny you should mention the clubs. I will say that the dancer who asked, basically, if I wanted to get stoned with her was in her early 20s and worked at the Vu. I've actually encountered more dancers there that seemed to be on something than at Rick's/Honey's.

Actually if she's got his number and is not phoning him up to come in and buy dances she might actually be into being friends.

29 y/o DejaVu girl are probably a safer bet than 21 y/o Rick's girls anyway. I knew a couple there who were 29. I think I can scratch one off based on your story, but not the other one. Is she a redhead? If so, then that is one I would put in the safe 2%. Good luck, man.

Man quit wasting your time, leave that girl alone. Why in the world would she not think that you were talking about her when she asked "Are you waiting on some one?" and you said "what do you think?" Unlessen you are the type that gets a dance from alot of different girls. That right there would have pissed me off with her.
