Dancer arrested after disagreement
JUNEAU | A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman made her initial appearance Thursday on charges stemming from a disagreement at Silk Exotic, 112 E. Oak St., on Tuesday night.
Shalinda A. Scott Morgan is charged with misdemeanor battery, disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon, criminal damage to property, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, resisting an officer, disorderly conduct and two counts of obstructing an officer. If convicted she faces up to five-and-a-half years of imprisonment.
Judge Steven Bauer ordered a $750 cash bond in the case with the conditions that Scott Morgan not have any direct or indirect contact or communication with the victim, not go onto the premises of Silk Gentlemen's Club, Juneau, not have violent or abusive contact with anyone and not possess any weapons.
According to the criminal complaint, officers were called at 11:22 p.m. on March 4 for a report of a dancer who had threatened a bouncer with a knife. When officers arrived, two bouncers were sitting on Scott Morgan, who was yelling. Officers were told that Scott Morgan had a disagreement with others in the business and had been part of a physical altercation before breaking a door knob off a door. At some point in the disagreement she had threatened a bouncer with a knife.
The complaint states that officers arrested Scott Morgan and one officer took her to jail. However, the officer was forced to pull over in front of the sheriff's department and to call for an additional officer. He reported that Scott Morgan was so combative in the back seat he feared she would break the dividing glass. Additional officers arrived and an officer rode in the back seat the rest of the way to the jail. Officers had to carry Scott Morgan into the jail.
According to the complaint, officers found a knife disguised as a comb handle in her purse, a small button-activated knife on her keychain and a small amount of marijuana on her person.
A return date is scheduled for March 31.
