Fort Wayne police arrested more than a dozen people on charges of prostitution or patronizing prostitutes Tuesday.
Officers with the department's Vice and Narcotics Division conducted the day-long sweep, concentrating on massage parlors and hotels throughout the city, Sgt. Jonathan Bowers said in a written release.
Bowers said the operation was part of an ongoing effort to deter both prostitution and human trafficking, and combat sexually transmitted diseases.
The Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health offered suspects free STD screenings, said Bowers.
In addition to making arrests, officers seized nearly $2,000, he said.

I guess Fort Wayne is so safe the police don't have any real crime to worry about.
