CORWITH, Iowa (AP) - A gentlemen's club that drew strong opposition after it opened this March in the tiny northern Iowa town of Corwith is closing.
The Mason City Globe Gazette reports this weekend will be the last for The Loft club in the town of roughly 300. But club owner Dale Peterson says he may try to relocate to another Iowa town, possibly Fort Dodge.
The club often attracted protesters outside and opposition from local officials after it opened.
Mayor Jay Gourley says the club's landlords decided to evict the business after Peterson failed to pay his May rent.
Peterson said Friday that he decided to close after a judge rejected his attempt to fight eviction.

I have been to over half of the clubs listed here in Iowa, and The Loft in Corwith not only wasn't one of them, it wasn't even listed. And I had to look that one up on a map despite the fact I drove through there once eons ago. Being it's not close to the interstate or other major thoroughfare, not surprised it closed.
