last commentEscorts are always fun.
Ashley Madison has a "Traveling Man" service too that I am... kind of interested in, it seems a lot more inexpensive than an escort but also probably a lot more random and likely lower quality.

Restaurants and hotels as well as if I am in a town with decent clubs I sometimes do a tour before I settle on one or two to frequent while I am in area.

So far I always use a rental car, hotel rooms, food joints, stripclubs, bars, casino if I can find one, escorts, massage parlors, comic stand up if its in town

Years ago, I traveled way too much. It was fly, cab, work, cab, hotel, dinner, sleep, cab, work, etc. Then I grew somewhat wiser and rented a car even in the big cities. Then came 9/11 and flying became a hassle, so I started driving. That allowed me to schedule "travel days" an write off a lot of otherwise personal expenses and relax more. Then I grew truly wise and took early retirement. Now I still travel but on my terms.
I do a little business, part-time-self-employed, usually driving wherever I need to be. But now when I drive; I stop whenever I see something interesting, stay over when I want to, go the long way just because and occasionally cancel my job because I found something more fun to do. I visit museums and old battlefields, eateries that are off the beaten path, and SCs day or night. I used to think life was good. Now it is much better.

I am much like dallas702.
I like museums, art galleries, live theatre, botanical gardens, bird sanctuaries, funky ethnic restaurants; but best of all for me is a good blues bar, usually found in the tavern of a sleazy skid road hotel. I also love to go to farmers' markets and to drive through farming areas if I have time.
And, I have been known to while away an hour or two if I can find a wine bar with a good Bordeaux list.

I used to schedule 3-day weekend trips to various cities for the purpose of finding great strip clubs.
But I always managed to spend a little downtime to visit a museum, aquarium, or zoo. Made me feel like less of PL.

Give me a good cigar lounge or a great martini bar and I'm set. Both together and I'm close to Nirvana.

There is nothing quite like starting a good night off well fed, so I guess that good restaurants would qualify. Steaks and great seafood are my weaknesses, along with good alcohol. Many a night I have spent eating in a city's finest steakhouse, and imbibing fine spirits, while planning a night in some of the sleaziest shithole clubs that the city has to offer. ;)
I also enjoy good authentic Irish pubs. Again though they end up being a night starter rather than the end game. A well made Shepherd's Pie or Guinness Stew, washed down with strong alcohol, just kicks a night off right. What is especially nice is the light tab that normally accompanies the opening rounds on a pub night, in contrast to the much heftier tab associated with fine dining experiences.
But I have to say that all roads ultimately lead to strip clubs, especially when I am traveling. Not much else really interests me from an entertainment perspective, as sad as that is to say.

Shoot, I travel all over the place and the first three things I do when I get into a new town is hit McD's, Taco Bell and KFC. Then I review them on Yelp. I feel like I'm providing a very useful and important service because people just don't review them much on the websites. Sometimes I'm the first reviewer! lol

Surf spots you've never hit. Independent book stores-not too many left. Baseball parks-minor or major. Like Farmerart, the local farmer's market. Churches, temples, etc. Live music with an actual dance floor. Getting to train with other martial artists on their home turf-great and humbling experiences.

When planning a vacation in Canada, most travelers choose the Vrbo in Canada website vrbo-canada.ca , which offers an alternative to hotels. Here you can rent accommodation directly from the owners: be it a cozy cottage or a stylish apartment in the center. Everything is simple and convenient - photos, descriptions, reviews and the ability to contact the owner are available in a few clicks.

I used to review on Yelp but the site is too toxic.
When I travel I dont plan anything and just go with the flow.
Food wise I love different ethnic restaurants. Mom and pop places. Classic motels. I love old school Americana. Going on road trips with no specific destination. Ive taken Greyhound to random places in the midwest. My favorite is exploring New Mexico and the California coast.

^ you can do that when you have no responsibilities and think only about yourself. My 5 kids and I traveling as a family need to fly with a little more class, yet we stumble upon hookers, tricks, and thieves. Me lest not go upon there…
