A man told authorities he rendezvoused with a stripper at a Metairie apartment complex, looking for a "good time." Instead he was robbed following a blast of pepper spray to the face, according to a Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office incident report.
The stripper and a male accomplice ambushed the victim and stole his pick-up truck. No arrests have been made in the case, according to Glen T. Boyd, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office.
The attack and robbery occurred just after midnight on May 10 in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Houma Boulevard in Metairie, the incident report said. The victim, a 38-year-old man from the Lafayette area, told investigators he went to a strip club in eastern New Orleans earlier that evening, according to Boyd. There he met a stripper who offered up a "good time" back at a Metairie apartment.
The victim agreed to follow the unidentified stripper, who drove a small green car to the Houma Boulevard apartments. The victim was driving his white, GMC Sierra pick-up truck., which he parked on nearby Eureka Street.
When the victim got out of his vehicle and walked towards the stripper, she unleashed the blast of pepper spray, temporarily blinding him. The victim said another man then appeared and attacked him.
The victim tried to fight back, but the man stole cash and the keys to his vehicle. The duo then fled, taking the victim's truck with them, the report said. The pair also made off with more than $4,000 worth of property that was inside of the truck because the victim was in the process of moving, the incident report said.
Paramedics treated the victim at the scene, flushing the toxic spray from his eyes and face. Boyd said detectives recovered the pick-up truck on Tuesday in New Orleans. The case is still under investigation.
