I was at Flight Club recently and there's a sign in the bathroom that says the club will be closing temporarily from May 21-28. There was a worker dude making measurements and such, so maybe they're finally going to renovate the upstairs casino which was a total waste of energy. Hopefully someone can update us all at the end of the temporary moratorium on "good time". I wonder what all the dancers are going to do for a whole week?
A dancer told me the Flight Club was shutting down so they could "work on the casino." I imagine this means they are taking out the gambling area and making it all a strip club again. Good. Gambling is immoral.
The dancer said she would be working at the Penthouse.
I have spent considerable time in both Vegas and Reno and have never been tempted to gamble I find it boring and not worth my time. Prime time network TV or NASCAR (AKA watching a LA traffic camera) is more fascinating than gambling AKA watching paint dry. At least in a strip club your odds of getting something for your money is much higher than in a casino. I made the mistake of going onto a Riverboat with a friend ONCE and 30 minutes after the boat left the dock for it's required cruise I had spent my budgeted money for gambling and did not gamble the rest of the cruise time getting the evil eye from the staff.
I was at flight club on day shift and wanted to try the casino but was told it didn't start until 7 at night. 7pm is also when they start their cover charge ($15 on fri/sat). I am not going to pay a $15 cover to come back and gamble! Vincemichaels and I did get a tour of the casino by one of the bouncers.
