I stay out of VIP rooms in the fancier clubs as they are generally overpriced and not much happens in them. The private rooms in most Providence clubs are usually a better deal than buying individual dances and offer more privacy. The VIP rooms in the Mass clubs I go to are the only places you will get serious contact in that state. Like many things in SC's, a lot depends on where you are.
The only times I've ever been in a VIP/champagne room is in clubs that don't give you much choice if you want a private dance that's half decent, or if they're priced to be especially attractive (like at Brad's Brass.) In general I prefer clubs that don't even have a VIP/champagne room.
I have never been in a VIP/Champagne room in all the years that I have been going to SCs. Any full-scale extras I have gotten have come in the normal lap/couch dance rooms/booths.
When I go to a new club one of the first things I do is look over the VIP area or room to determine whether sex could be had there. Out of management view, dark, places where other dancers can't observe - you know what I mean. Now, It's not likely that I could have sex in the VIP on my first visit or two (there are several exceptions scattered around the country) but it does give me some idea of how much time and effort I might spend there in the future. The second part of this very scientific research is the quality of the dancers (which can eliminate many of those aforementioned exceptions)
Some clubs are certainly set up better than others. Some VIP areas are fairly open and, even though management may look the other way to more liberl contact, not much more than that will ever happen. One of the no contact Mass club that I currently go to has private VIP rooms and waitresses who accept tips graciously and adopt a "don't ask, don't tell" policy.
I've had the 'right girl' use whipped cream (no strawberries) on me and then reciprocate (a birthday dance last April). She was more concerned about getting caught with the whipped cream then she was about what we were doing to each other. When I had her bottoms off she squirmed suddenly and shrunk down in the booth, the manager (a lesbian) was watching us and was standing behind me. The customer paying for me to join them for a few songs told the manager to "buy your own porno film". The manager walked away and we finished our dance.
