  If you are just looking for a place to go to see nude women then try the Cheetah (high end), Pink Pony, Crazy Horse, or the Oasis.

  Jag, it's been more than 20 years since I've been to a strip club in Atlanta. I used to go to a fun little bar that had nude dancers somewhere northeast of downtown but that's about as much as I remember. I never went to any of the big glitzy clubs, they all sounded too expensive. If I were going today I'd probably try to hook up with one of the massage girls who advertise on Eros and get good reviews, or maybe hit one of the neighborhood nude titty bars if I just wanted a couple beers. I probably wouldn't miss the laps too much but I would miss the Yuengling, which you proabaly won't find on tap in Atlanta.

  Shotdisc, the ratings have a big-city and GC bias. The big glitzy clubs always get higher ratings regardless of whether they are any good or not. I'm guessing that's because a lot of guys only go to such places and don't know how much fun smaller places can be.

  I just did a check of the reviews for ATL clubs over the past week and I can't believe what I saw. Pink Pony 7 & 9; Doll House 8; Magic City 10!!!; Club Wax 8; Tiffany's 8.
  
  Come on. These are some real high numbers that are not warranted. Lets get real fellas.

  I have a theory that the lamer the strip clubs in a city the better and more numerous the girls on Eros and Erotic Review. Don't know which is cause and which is effect if any but logic would suggest that there ought to be some sort of relationship if, as I believe, these various activities compete with each other. I site as examples Philly (great clubs, poor and very limited Eros selection), DC (lame clubs, great Eros selection), Boston (same as DC), and Tampa (same as Philly.) Maybe Atlanta is an exception but last time I looked there was a good selection of massage girls at least. I was also under the impression that Atlanta has a thriving lingerie-modeling business. What I find especially interesting is that DC, which is lsee than 1/4 the size of Philly, has at least 4 times as many Eros ads. But Philly has 10 times as many strip clubs.

  Re: Eros-just lurk on it, although some great ladies there-use www.theeroticreview.com for screening-VIP member. Been a member for over a year and do not do anything without referencing TER.

  So what sex businesses thrive within that area - prostitutes, massage parlors, lingerie modeling (I don't even know what that is exactly)? There's got to be something. I know that Eros lists a lot of erotic massage providers in Atlanta.

  Shadowcat, I was under the impression that there were some OK clubs in Athens. I take it that's not true. I once stopped in a place that had some good reviews near Savannah on the SC side of the border, but it wasn't very good. I also once stopped in a GA club right off of I-95 and that wasn't very good either. Aren't there any decent clubs anywhere in GA? I wonder why.

  As an almost 20 yr resident of Metro ATL. I can say I have at one time or another visited every club in the area. I have to say that over the years I have had a couple of positive experiences locally, my ATF was at the 24K Club in ATL, but for the most part, this town is pitiful. I agree with Shadow, if you want to look at some naked women and have a beer ATL is the place to go. If you want more, there are better places to play.

  You guys aren't doing me any favors here. My buddies and I were down last year and were not impressed. They gave me the "task" of doing some research, and boy, disappointment! You guys need to check out www.eros.com -for $300 you can get an hour GFE with multiple pops. THis may be the way to go but may be way too personal with all my friends there. What to do? What to do???

  I agree with all the comments about Atlanta being lame. But it wasn't always so. At one time Atlanta was considered to be the strip club capital of the US, and it's where I got hooked on strip clubs and the first place in the US that I ever encountered nude dancing. But that was before lap dancing was invented. What happened is the rest of the country endorsed lap dancing but Atlanta stayed the same as it used to be. I often wonder why the rest of the country changed but Atlanta didn't.

  SC: The club you are talking about was called the Cypress Lounge. It is or was close to the Kennesaw city limits. Boomers is way further down cobb parkay not too far up the road from the Cumberland mall. I heard about the Cypress lounge but never went there. It was nicknamed the Syphilis lounge by some guys because supposedly the guys from the beer factory near the club would come in during there lunch breaks and screw some of the dancers.

  CTL: From my experience you are correct, the entire scene just plain blows(or doesn't blow, as the case may be...). I tried to order take out the last time I was down there and nobody seems to want to do it. My new favorite Asian/Flight attendant/escort is "working" in Atlanta this weekend. I'll be curious to see how she did the next time I see her.

  Shadowcat: Has there ever been any club in Atlanta over the past 10years that gave lapdances? I used to live up in the Marietta area from 1997 to 1999. The Gold Club wasn't bad back then. I never got a lapdance but I still got alot of contact with alot of the "shotgirls." Some of the dancers gave more contact than others. The Clubs in Marietta like Boomers & The Taj Mahal(now Vegas Nights) sucked.

  My understanding is that the entire "adult entertainment" world is pretty sad in Atlanta. I would count on having a lot of time to work on your slice.
