Strip Club Suing Mad, Claims Business Down After Road Closure 8/10/11

Odessa, TX - A local nightclub is suing after Ector County Commissioners and Union Pacific decide to close the railroad crossing near their business.
Jaguars Gold Club filed the lawsuit in late July, stating the closing of Cargo Road hinders their business by restricting access to the club.
They claim Commissioners and Union Pacific didn't ask for input from the public about the issue.
According to the Odessa American, Jaguars' Attorney Eddie Garza said the business wasn't even aware the closing could happen after it was voted down before in January.
Garza says they are suing to get the road re-opened and for more than $50,000 in fees and lost income.
County Judge Susan Redford tells us the closing had nothing to do with the business.
Instead, she says the closure had everything to do with a report that that intersection was the most deadly crossing in the state.
County Commissioners did hold a public meeting on the matter, and Redford says no one from Jaguars attended.
