  No sooner did you suggest an old-fashioned name like Gertrude, then just down the main page from where I saw your post, I saw "Hazel" mentioned as a stripper in another post - [view link]

  I had a string of club visits in a row where the girl would tell me her stripper name and then say, "but my real name is . . ." What was the point - I called them by both names. Also went to a club where a girl told me when she started, they asked her to pick a name - and every name she picked, someone else was already using. She finally turned to one of the bouncers and asked him his name, he said, "Joe." So she said, "Okay, I'll be Joe."

  The club I go to has mostly believable names, even though they're of course still fake. i.e. Jessica, Justine, Corey, Angelina, Angelica, Paulina, etc.

  Line from Show Girls "Nobody wants to fuck a Penny". So dancers choose stage names that they think customers will find erotic or sexy. There seems to be a trend upwards of dancers using their real names. But you cannot have two dancers at the same time using the same name. I have seen it and it gets confusing. The days are gone when a dancers was worried about giving out their real names to avoid stalkers. Who can stalk a person by just knowing their first name. I have a problem in that I know so many dancers by their stage and real names that I am never sure which name to use. Other dancers many not even know the real names of their co workers. When ever I meet a Mercedes, I introduce myself as Ford!

  The trend seems to be less exotic sounding nowadays. My club has a Jo, Nicole, Heather, Angela, and Lacy. My favorite stripper alias has to be Ginger, which you would think would belong to a petite red head girl with green eyes and freckles, but actually belongs to a full figured amazonian black woman.

  I don't hear this name often, but I have always had a soft spot in my heart for a female Sam. I think this goes back to a Sam in HS. She was special.

  Many people don't realize that many dancers will give you a FAKE "real name" I didn't realize this until I hung out with a dancer once and got a peek at her driver's license while she was verifying her legal drinking age to the bar staff. Went by "Natasha" stage name, told me her real name was "Alicia", and her driver's license said "Elizabeth". This actually happens A LOT more than you think. Dancers will identify you based on the name you call them--club patron, wanna-be OTC sugar daddy, actual acquaintance, etc.

  Samella, My current favorite, went this way. Of course I knew her stage name after I first saw her. When she was sitting with me later, she told me her real name. At a later time after a few visits, the also her real name, but what her friends call her. Other than the stage names the other two are real. My ATF, I know her real names, but she doesn't use them at all. Hell, I don't even use my real name!

  An additional issue that exacerbates the problem of hearing the same ole names is that sometimes ex-strippers bequeath their name. One of my faves uses the same stage name that her aunt used when she stripped.

  A few dancers I've known have actually used their real names. I prefer dancers with conventional girls names. Stage names that are words, such as "Sexy," "Precious," "Allure," etc. truly make them sound fake. I like a believable-sounding stage name in a dancer.

  I actually knew a dancer who called herself "Kevin." A little creepy since that is also the name of one of my best friends. Still, she was awfully hot. I think there are dancers who, in addition to 3 names also have 3 phone numbers, for exactly the same reason as mentioned above.

  I'm going to have to disagree with the idea that gone are the days when stripper worry about giving out their real names because they are scared of being stalked. More now than ever before, the internet makes it easy to find people. I have a very unique first name. It would be very easy to search my first name, narrow down the few hits you got for my area, and find my address or my relatives names and addresses. I have worked at two different clubs where dancers were murdered by stalker customers. I am aware of the fact that men, particularly those that were not raised in the era of internet, don't understand the dangers that face women, particularly those in the adult industry. For a regular dancer that likes to keep themselves incognito and out of any possible harms way won't randomly give out their real name. I don't even allow other dancers to know my real name.

  Stiletto, while what you say is true, saying that it's easier to stalk someone when you have her first name, that's like saying that adding a quarter teaspoon of water to an already full 10 gallon bucket makes it fuller. A tiny little thing like not having your first name isn't going to stop an even moderately determined creeper. Not when he can follow you home or trace your phone number. By all means, don't give out your real name, but recognize that it's only *one* step in keeping yourself safe.

  I've met girls who dance under their real names, and I think they are crazy, not only because of stalkers, but it just somehow seems proper to disconnect that public persona from "real" life. I've also noticed a recent trend of dancers using more realistic, but still fake, names. Maybe it cuts down on customers asking them for their real names?

  i've met dancers that use fake names and gave me their real names, used fake names and wouldn't give their real names, and used their real names while dancing. they all had different reasons for doing it the way that they did and their reasons made sense to them so who am i to argue. i did know one that used the name naughtia. she tried to pass it off that naughtia was her real name. a couple other dancers in her club gave her a hard time as to why someone would want to go through life named naughtia. during a weak/drunk moment she told me her real name was katie and when i called her katie a couple weeks later she was shocked at how i knew her real name. she had forgot that she told me, lol

  I have encountered some who have names like Naimah (changed to that from Maryilyn), Teyeh. These were pretty blonde girls and I dont like the weird names. I liked Marilyn better (man she was hot and lots of fun). Other ones were Destiny, Faith, Chloe (inspired by the movie?, Norma, Crickett, Stevie, Diane, Sadie, Crystal, Unique, Jessica, Alexis, Pearla, Infiniti, Wendy, Valentine, Liz, Dnae, Jules, etc. These were all gals I had a lot of fun with (many were extras girls) at SE Houston clubs like Ricks South, Dreamers, Heartbreakers, and of course my fav the Ritz. Ricks South has been shut down and Dreamers is now under another name but the others have impressive websites and the Ritz is a great friend to have on FB as they always have pics of hot gals and featured specials. They remodeled the downstairs to make an impressive Sports Bar Section eliminating the CR (lots of fun there) but the large impressive upstairs VIP remains (bar, gaming machines, lots of private areas) and can be accessed by an elagant stairway or elevator. A manager will check id for VIP otherwise $120. The Ritz is off the Edgebrook exit (next exit down from Airport Blvd - Hobby Airport). My money goes farther there than at clubs like Treasures or Centerfolds in the ritzy Westchase area. I prefer more "normal" stripper names like many of the ones above I can relate to.

  I used to always ask the dancer her real name, but then I would forget later... I finally decided if they want to be called Madison or Alexis or whatever then that's fine with me, I'm not planning on seeing these girls outside the club so who cares what their name is, I often forget the dancers "fake" name as well.....might as well call them small, blonde and petite or amazon or whatever because we'll remember who that is more likely then Candy or Jessica...

  I normally hear names like Pleasure, Heaven or the reverse Nevaeh, Mercedes, Angel, Dani, Heather, Raven, Diamond, Eve, Jordan, Holly, and Asia. Some names are common to certain dancers. I have seen a lot of Ravens and almost all are brunette, but I met two where blonde and one who was a redhead. Most dancers named Asia are Asian, but I saw a few black dancers named Asia. Russian dancers seem to choose names like Svetlana, Karina, Victoria, Natalia, Nadia, etc. Even though I have met quite a few Eastern European women named Olga outside of clubs, I only met one dancer named Olga so far. Olga was a big natural breasted reddish blonde Ukrainian spitfire that I met in a club near Minneapolis once. Which brings me to dancers names I have rarely heard, such Skylar only twice so far. Jay also only twice so far. Sam only once. Pearl only once, probably because it is a bit old fashioned and the dancer was Asian. I also heard one named Jimmie, and she was cutie and her name fit her, same with Sam. A few times I hear some strange names. There was one Malaysian dancer named Malaise, who got a bit ticked when I told her name means feeling sick. Someone else must have told her that also, because about a month later she was now known as Asia.

They're listed together, alphabetically, just peruse the list and enjoy! (Some of the names I got a chuckle out of were the "boob-oriented" names, like: Aeriolia, Bazooma, Boobette, Boobulosa, Cleviagia, Nipsy, Niplelia, and Titsy. (I can't really imagine any dancers choosing those names,but they were fun to read.) There are names based on other anotomical areas, too.
