VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police executed six search warrants regarding drug distribution occurring inside Atlantis Gentlemen's Club in Virginia Beach.
After a several month long investigation, the search warrants were executed Friday night at 6 p.m., Virginia Beach Police spokesman Adam L. Bernstein said.
Officers made four arrests and released two individuals on summonses who were inside Atlantis.
In addition to Atlantis, search warrants were executed at the former Hammerheads bar on Atlantic Avenue, soon to be called Margarita Rocks, a residence in Newport News, and three other residences in Virginia Beach.
Atlantis is in the same area where off-duty Norfolk Police Officer Victor Decker's body was found in October. However, police said there is no information to indicate that the alleged drug distribution is related to the Decker homicide investigation.
Four individuals were arrested and charged with the following:
Thanh Nga Cao – Three counts of Possession with the Intent to Distribute MDMA
Justin White aka “Whitey†– Three counts of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine and two counts of Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine
James Phipps – Two counts Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine, two counts of Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine, and one count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Scheduled Prescription.
Robert Lee Porter – Three counts Possession with the Intent to Distribute and one count Possession of a Firearm while in possession of drugs.
The two individuals who were released on summonses who were inside the Atlantis when police executed the search warrant were Michael Hutcheson, who was charged with possession of marijuana and Nicole Bobbit, who was charged with indecent exposure.
Police said the search warrant affidavits are sealed.
