Picking up on a comment potheadpl made in the "Oilmen's Delight" thread - has the price of gas affected your strip club visits (e.g. how often you go? how far you'll drive? how much you have left to spend?)
With a fill-up approaching 5 LDUs, I'll probably think twice about making a 3 hour round trip to Baltimore just to go clubbing. Luckily all my recent visits to Charm City have been tacked onto business related trips, so I get my mileage reimbursed.
The 20 minute trip to the Paper Moon is starting to look good, lol.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Supposedly, the magic price (last time around) was when gas went above $3.87 a gallon. Then it affected the public's spending habits.
But it's more than just gas: the increased transportation costs have to be passed along on businesses go under. Thereby the costs of goods & services all go up, leaving less money for lap dances.
Some dancers who don't drive and pay for gas to get a ride home might be willing to ride with me for free at the end of their shift. We'll just have to see if it's worth it on both sides of the equation.
Seriously now. We willingly pay extortionate prices for drinks in SCs, my beloved valet fees and assorted other rip-off charges just to pursue this hobby. Are a couple of extra bucks in gas charges for a SC journey really of any consequence to us?
And, please try to think kindly of all the world's hard-working oilmen slaving away for the common good of all. Surely we poor wretches are entitled to some small recompense for our labours?
Saw the damndest thing this afternoon on Ocean Drive here in Miami Beach There was a oldtimer on a bicycle with a dog on the sidewalk collecting donations in a plastic bucket that the dog would carry the handle in its'mouth up and down the sidewalk. Maybe we should start a collection operation up like that to recover the uptick in fuel prices. I agree with farmerart, it is not the oilmen who are most at fault. I'll support farmerart. It's the speculators that are driving up the cost, there is plenty of oil still.

I'd crawl across broken glass if I had to, in order to get my SC fix!
