State police said a blow-up doll in the road is to blame for a crash on Route 34 in South Middleton Township.
Troopers said a driver spotted what appeared to be a person lying in the road. He made a quick stop to avoid hitting the object in the road, and was rear ended by the vehicle behind him.
Police say it turned out a blow-up doll on the road.
Both drivers and a passenger were wearing their seat belts and no one was injured.

That was a set up prank. Teens don't always think through all the ramifications of their pranks. There's still an open case from almost twenty years ago where someone re-arranged the pylons at a highway contsruction site. The resulting head on crash (both cars doing 50), killed two. No one has ever been identified as the loser who did that. Hell of a thing to live with.
When I was a kid, I was scolded by mom for loosening the tops of salt shakers. My other prank-caught in the act while spitting on car seats (through open windows).
