A West Side strip club was robbed by a pair of men Tuesday, the second strip-club robbery in El Paso County in less than a week.
The robbery occurred about 9:30 a.m. when two men entered the Westside Show Lounge on Executive Center Boulevard, police spokesman Detective Mike Baranyay said.
Though the club was closed, the robbers were able to get inside, possibly on a ruse, hold an employee at knifepoint and steal an undisclosed amount of money.
Police would not confirm a woman's claim that investigators were questioning current and former club employees. The former employee did not want to be identified.
Police would not comment on whether the Westside Show Lounge robbery is believed to be linked to an unsolved homicide during an attempted robbery of Sal's Lounge, a topless bar east of the El Paso city limits near Horizon Boulevard.
California truck driver Ralph Edward Tucker was shot and killed early Thursday when he rushed two robbers, sheriff's officials said. The robbers had handguns and were dressed in black with ski masks and gloves.
