Ashely Madison Anyone?

I noticed a recent banner ad while lurking on TUSCL; in fact, it's at the top of this page, as I type. The ad is for The Ashley Madison Agency, which is supposed to be an on-line site to for attached people to arrange affairs. How perfect is THAT? Being an old horny guy, that happens to be attached and looking to have an affair, I thought it was worth a look-see. I created a user account and did some searches to see what women were in my area. Astonishingly, there are a LOT of women in this area that are looking for guys to have sex with, and from the pictures (the ones that actually have pictures) they are not too bad looking. Yep, I went ahead and became a "member" for $49, and started sending messages to some of the women that caught my eye. Got a few "winks" from other women that were interested in me... and one (only one [smirk]) that added me to her favorites list. I received notification that most of my messages had been receive... But I'll be dipped, nothing seems to be getting arranged. I guess they took a look at my profile (and pic) and decided I wasn't hot enough... I even sent some messages to some "cute" women that were overweight (yeah, was gettin' a LITTLE desparate), and STILL no arrangements on the horizon. I think it's a scam! Incindentally, the $49 that they implied was for a month, was actually for 100 credits, which get used at a rate of 10 credits per message. You can blow through credits pretty stinkin' fast. I guess Ashley Madison isn't going to end my SC "career" afterall. Damn!

The problem with most dating/hookup sites is that most people aren't paid members and thus cannot communicate. Plus, there are lots of fake profiles on there used to coax people to join. Keep us posted if you are able to get some bangs.

I have read a news story about a man going on a dating site pretending to me a female. Then he gathered personal info about the guy pretending like "she" was interested in hooking up...then used the info to blackmail the guys threatening to tell their wives about the emails, voicemails, etc.

All those dating sites have people posing as members to engage you and keep your interest. As your membership gets closer to expiration they'll flirt with you more to fool you into renewing.

A majority of the profiles are fake. It's either fluff by Ashley Madison to make it appear that they have more female members or guys posing as females, hoping to scam you out of money; they'll probably pretend that they need some money or gifts.

I found that site a waste of time and money. I wonder if the profiles are fake or the bitches on those sites simply retarded. Do they even realize the competetion they are getting from strippers? Stick to the strip clubs. I have been getting stripper pussy for as little as $100 bc I am frequent flyer with a fav.

Like others have noted, I suspect most of the sex oriented "dating" sites are more fluff than substance. And why leave tracks online (did you pay your $49 with an anonymous money order, or a cash funded "credit" card from Wal-Mart, or did you use a bank card?) when you can go to a club and be mostly anonymous? As well, I'm not looking to have an affair per se, just a hookup, and for me, strip clubs provide the best venue for that purpose, for reasons stated and restated many time on this site.

I hate it when you get curious about those dating sites and they all seem to require you to fill in more and more info just to look. Then you are suddenly a registered user with a free account. Do you get to look? Not hardly on the latest one or two I tried to look at. Either profiles are blocked, you can't read email messages, or you can't respond to email messages unless you pay up. I barely even put any information in my profile and get swamped with 2 dozen messages from different females and I can't even read their email messages unless I pay first. What a scam I'm thinking. I'm not paying if I can't read the email messages first and look at their profiles to see if I'm interested in paying. Stupid sites must be getting some people to pay first though. I did finally buy a Black Friday sale item tonight. I bought it online without waiting in line, got free shipping and saved 47%. I just have to wait a few days to get it which is no problem. I like to research and check things out before buying. Those dating sites don't understand that. I haven't paid anything to those sites ever. A few of the email messages sounded like they were from real girls but since I don't trust the site, I forget about it.

At least on the latest one where curiousity got the better part of me late one night. I am able to read the email subject lines even though they require a payment to sign up to actually read the email message. One email message stated that no one seems to want to actually meet up. I'm thinking really? There are a bunch of guys like me just curious when they keep getting all these ads and want to see who may be in the area and read profiles and read any email messages to see if they seem real. They have to sign up to even look if they continue that far. Then after they sign up, they get blocked from looking at hardly anything. Can't read email, can't look at profile information, definitely can't respond to email without paying first. Then they are like me, just signed up, not responding to any email and already disgusted with the web site. However they may still be curious who is sending all the email messages.

I remember signing up for one of those free membership dating sites one year and shortly afterwards I got an email message from a girl saying she wanted to fuck everyone in her area on the site and had a hot looking girl for a pic. I feel safer at the strip club. I highly doubt a hot girl would be trying to fuck everyone on a site with hardly any info and no picture. Sounds too good to be true. Actually if such a person did exist, I would worry about std's and why she was trying to do such a thing. Revenge fucking trying to spread diseases?

One site claimed to be the site that Tiger Woods used to meet up with so many girls. I can't remember the name. I thought it was a scam. Dozens of hot girls emailing me wanting to meet up when I had no pic, and hardly nothing in my profile. I did start wondering if maybe it wasn't a scam website but some secret place where escort girls met up with guys. The pics looked too hot. Of course not being able to read or respond to most emails or being able to read profiles really killed my curiosity.

Well, after "experiencing" Ashley Madison for about two weeks, I've totally given up and decided it was a waste, cut my losses and forget about it. BUT, another site is showing some promise. [view link]. Being in a mood for some strange, and knowning that my next visit to see my dancer friends is about a week off, decided to give that one a try. In two days, I've gotten messages (and replies to MY messages). One appears to be VERY promising... pictures look good enough to eat (and hope to). Well see where things go... will update if/when things change...
