Hey CT, do you have any advice for a motel or hotel nearby the Penthouse in Detroit? I want to visit there but I don't want to trust the valet parking with my car. I would rather keep it parked at the hotel/motel and walk over or taxi over. Do you know of any places nearby?

Unfortunately no Sam. Last time I stayed at the airport, quite a ways from the clubs on 8 Mile (Penthouse Club and the now closed Allstars...)

Last summer on my visit to Penthouse, I parked on a neighborhood street a half block away to save the $7 valet. I had no problem, but who knows... maybe I was just lucky? Penthouse has the most consistent, best-looking dancers, BUT, sister Flight Club now has the best VIP area. PLUS, Bogart's is barely a block away from Flight Club. Entirely too much stimulation in that part of Detroit. Then there's a ton of little motels just to the east on Michigan Ave.

By the way, I think Vince Micheals has left a trail of bread crumbs to mark the path from Bogart's to Penthouse Club!

Is there bus service from the hotel areas to the club areas? Probably not late at night, but...

Someone has apparently watched the valet parking scene from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" one too many times.

yeah, there's a reason Vegas rooms are so cheap in August...it's bleepin' hot, and there's few visitors. If I were going to visit at that time, i would not expect much in the clubs, "sin city" or not.
