Hooker sting turns into 43 kilo coke bust

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Fife police working a prostitution detail ended up making an unrelated 43 kilogram cocaine bust.

During the sting, officers noticed a car blocking a lane of traffic near a truck stop. A man emerged from bushes with a duffel bag, placed it into the car and returned to the bushes for two more duffel bags.

When officers tried to approach the car, it sped off, leading police on a high-speed chase until the car turned down a dead-end street, according to a report in the Tacoma News Tribune.

Two occupants ran off but were swiftly captured. A drug dog was sent to the scene and police obtained a warrant to search the car.
