Baltimore Area clubs....To Block or not to Block?

Sunday, January 10, 2010 8:22 PM
I'm heading to Baltimore for a conference and I was interested in hitting some of the clubs near inner harbor but I'm not sure which ones would be worth it. I've been to McDoogals and while the women were very hot the lap dance area was very open and no touching was allowed. Recently I hit Bourbon Street Circus in Phoenix and the girls were really hot and let me wander all over, thats what I'm looking for here. Now I've read the reviews of the clubs near inner harbor and a lot reference "The Block" but it's seems hit or miss and in a dodgy part of town. Does anyone have any opinions on the clubs at The Block or the others near it? I'd like to find a place I can at least get some good mileage out of my lap dances. I'm still a pretty young guy and have no problem talking to the girls and having fun but if the club itself won't let us have fun then it's really not worth it to me. Thanks for any guidance.

I have the escort section in the phone book is huge for those areas. Probably because no one can get off in a SC. Good luck with your travel. I can't give you specific info on the clubs though.

Assuming that hands on lappers would be enough based on your post. If you're not concerned about bargain hunting, Players Club and Gold Club are not too far out of downtown. Night Shift is basically ruined now that the family that owns McDoogals took it over. If you can get to The Block on a day shift it might be worth a look.

the Block is E Baltimore Street and is surprisingly just down from police headquarters. I find the place a bit scarry. I have been there once. Many of the girls are not that pretty and many have drug habbits that you can see by just looking at them. I am still surprised that a city's red light district is just down from police headquarters. The full menu is available almost anywhere. I would say go in the daytime and be careful. Do not use any credit cards.

I was there a long time ago for wild times. I don't know if it's still like that now.

The Block is pretty seedy so I agree with sctripper and would advise day trips only. The clubs are full of hustle so be careful...girls will approach with the "would you like some company?" line and as soon as she sits down you'll be hustled for a $20-30 drink. When I was a young man, I used to frequent the Block and recall the first time I heard that a dancer's drink was $20..I flinched and she said calmly "Hon, you're not buying the drink, you're buying the company". So I bought it. Once you've paid that there is generally a fair amount of groping and some extras in the Champagne room. The Block today is only two blocks from South St. to Gay Street. There are 2-3 clubs I'd recommend on Custom House Ave...righth off the Block. My personal fave is "The Mousetrap"...smallish, dark, usually 3-4 dancers during the day and generally safe. Bring plenty of dough. Good luck and have fun

Well after reading up on everyones comments here and on the club list I think I'll try the Players Club. I won't be able to get out until the evening and from what everyone has said The Block isn't to safe at night and the girls aren't that hot. Also the BYOB aspect like they have at McDoogals I think will save me some money for lap dances. Thanks for all you help and if anyone has any favorite dancers at Players Club let me know and I'll try them out.

"Carrying Three Condoms In D.C. Makes You A Prostitute" [view link] Carrying three or more condoms in Washington, D.C. isn’t a sign that you’re a responsible adult who has a big night ahead of you, instead it could mean you’re a prostitute. Police in D.C. are setting up “Prostitution Free Zones,” in which officers can arrest anyone they suspect of being a sex worker. And the police have been accused of using the number of condoms a person has in their possession as an indication of their intent to sell sex. While this law can be a nuisance to people who aren’t in the sex trade (condoms are often sold in packs of three), it really is dangerous to sex workers because it forces them to abandon safe sex practices, which puts their health and that of the public at risk. D.C. has HIV/AIDS rates greater than a severe epidemic. And this law will make matters worse because prostitutes, who are often controlled by pimps, will be further criminalized and won’t seek medical attention for fear of being arrested. Sadly, this practice has also been adopted by police in San Francisco and New York City. [[view link]]

My experience at the Block was in daylight, and I felt safe. The street looks seedy, but there's plenty of people on the street. I think if you're approaching from the west, where the main street (I've forgotten its name) is, you should be safe. I visited the Red Room and bought a gal a $20 drink and for about a half hour she chatted while stroking me. I played with tits and kitty (from outside). She offered more for a substantially higher priced drink, but I wasn't in the mood for that much more. I'd definitely go back to the Block if I were in town. Even if I were in DC.

Was just to the block last week (was at conference too). It is pretty safe even at night. Police station right across the street and the cops go inside each bar nightly. Many cabs to catch a ride and get out of dodge. The hustle is all the same as described - buy a drink and the larger, the more expensive and the more pleasure. Was offered BJ for $75.00, but she was chunky and not my type. They say Scores is good (never been) and the Hustler Club too (free admission coupon on strip club list site) (never beenthere either). Got to the block after 12:30AM and they close at 2:00AM, so only visited 3 places quickly. It is hit or miss on any given night. Was busy last Wednesday night. Good luck and have fun.

I was in Baltimore Nov of 2008 and had plans to go to the block. I decided to try the Ritz Cabaret the first night (not on the block) because it was closer and had such a good time that I did not ever get to the block. Mandi (little blond spinner) is highly recommended. Don't read this wrong, I was offered no extras and was not looking for any (not my thing). Just very high contact dances with girls that are 7's or 8's (at least in '08).

The Ritz is ok. Down on Broadway by Fells Point. Chock full of cameras everywhere now since they're still living down their heyday. About The Block and safety at night, the issue with day shift is it's easier to navigate the place if you're a new face. At night it's safer than a lot of other places downtown but the hustle is much, much higher.

A big NO to the Block. I usually head to Players Club, a bit expensive given you have to buy a "membership". But it's hands on with something for everyone in terms of ladies. I always have a good time in there. You save money on drinks since it's BYOB (there's a liquor store about a block away). Saves money so you can concentrate on the dances.

"The Block" can be a bit sketchy at night. While I've never been threatened, I've never felt 100% safe there, either. The really odd thing is that it's right next to the police headquarters... Anyways. If you go, I recommend a cab right to the club and a cab on your way out. If you want a comfortable, clean, and safe club, try Hustler. I've never felt the -pardon the pun- hustle there. YMMV though; caveat emptor. I really want to visit the Ritz. I hear it's nice and you don't have to contend with the block. I've been to the Scores, but it just felt like a big tourist trap. Too many people. Not enough girls. I hear there's also "Night Shift" outside of the block area, but it's gotten a lot of crappy reviews...
