Strip Clubs After Covid

gobstopper007
Every dancer’s favorite- cause they told me so
While masks are still required in some areas such as medical facilities and some emergency laws/regulations are just waiting to lapse for all intents and purposes we are out of Covid. Unfortunately I don’t think there will ever be a return to how things were before the pandemic. Strip clubs are no exception.

A lot of the dancers I really loved seeing in the clubs are no longer dancing, some got other jobs, some with health concerns and some for other reasons. While the business would be expected to have steady turnover Covid caused more than normal. I enjoy seeing and meeting new dancers and dancers I have spoken to have talked about making that “new girl money” when first starting but there was something for that familiarity that was nice.

The new wave of dancers overall just do not seem as focused on working the floor as they are spending time on their phones or hanging out in the back. It’s as if they think they only need to be on floor if they have a regular. Prior to Covid they’re a stable of veteran dancers to help the new ones learn how to work a room. It seems you had enough veteran dancers that weren’t worried about losing regulars to new girls that the baby strippers could learn the ropes while building their own customer base.

As the clubs reopened there just wasn’t the same ratio so many new dancers were left to try and figure things out on their own. I have noticed that it is not uncommon to see a new girl on one visit only to be told my next trip that she’s not dancing anymore. I guess that eventually it will get back to how it was but with inflation being what it is I doubt as many can afford to stick around long enough to become a veteran. It also seems that the girls who are now the “old guard” are in such demand that it’s harder for them to take a newbie under their wings, especially there so many newbies now.

I still enjoy my trips but they do seem a lot more hit or miss now. My last visit I left with about three times what I spent still in my pocket. It used to be that I would easily spend what I brought with me and usually regretted not having brought more. I realize my experiences are based on a very small snapshot of the club scene as a whole, but things in my neck of the woods are definitely not back to normal. I guess the question is will they ever be or do I have to just get used to the new normal?

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. As long as there is a demand the clubs will be around. Inflation has made it more difficult for a lot of Americans resulting in less money to spend. As far as talent it is concerned dancers come and go. Some clubs definitely have more hot ones but even my regular club which is relatively small has a few hot ones

Covid started three years ago. Three years is a lifetime in dancer turnover considering my rule of thumb is 50 percent dancer turnover per year including quitting and moving away.

I would say overall the hustle isn't as strong as it was pre covid, but the job market is still clinging on to being quite strong. This feels like it is still a Strong Job Market strip club environment.

Obviously there is going to be a gap of 2-4 year veterans right now, and that group is pretty key to the roster.

Yeah strip clubbing post covid has definitely been different for me. Some of the clubs in my area didn't make it. A lot of my favorite dancers are gone ( must of them were kinda at the end of their prime years anyway) . With onlyfans popping I notice there isn't a huge influx of newer younger dancers just yet . Honestly it may take a couple more years for strip clubs to get back to the way things were pre covid. But I definitely don't go as much as I used to because of it
