Brooklyn Strip Clubs
Muddy
USA
Last couple years took out 3 strip clubs, which I'm not gonna lie, certainly took some of the wind out of this article. So I figured let me push this shit out before anymore more clubs go down. Club Lust in Sunset Park. Amour Cabaret in Bedford Stuyvesant. And Paper Rain in Cypress hills. The latter two are in the hood. For Amour Cabaret it was a gangbanger hang out and the entire community rallied against it to shut it down. I never got a chance to check these spots out so I really don't have too much add but that only leaves three clubs left in the borough.
Although it's gone a lot of changes, especially in North Brooklyn you still can't come up in here half steppin, coming from Bed Stuy's Big Daddy Kane https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTCGw0wi… Lets dive in to see what's left.
Foxy Gentleman's Club in Coney Island- The only spot in South Brooklyn. One block off the boardwalk and practically in the shadow of the Ferris Wheel and not far from many of Joey Chesnuts victories. Strictly night shift 930 to 4am. Take the D, N, F or Q train. Parking straight up sucks in Coney Island, should be a little better at night but you might have to hunt a little bit. Alcohol club. $20 cover. Club is upstairs. $25 dollar Lap Dances and $140 for 30 minutes in a camera booth. From what I understand talking to some dancers it's something that can be worked around so take for what's it's worth. It was recently redone, so it's really has an upscale sort of vibe. Not a big spot. Mostly black and latinas with some russians sprinkled in. Brighton Beach, a Russian enclave is right next to Coney Island so that's probably where there from. Mostly younger girls. Solid talent, not out of this world but not too bad, I expected worse going in.
Pumps in East Williamsburg- The strip club in really ground zero of gentrification in America. The area and demographics are quickly changing. And the club represents this fact fairly well. It's a small alternative hipstery type spot with mostly white alternative, tattooed chicks. You can see some black and Latinas dancing here too but for the most part white girls. There aren't too many spots if any in the outer boroughs where that is true for. Take the L, J, or M train. Very small parking lot but should be able to find something on the street somewhere. No cover here. ID scan. Alcohol club. Stage behind bar, tip parade spot. Dances are $20. In a small community dance area in the back with benches. Not big spot. Talent is alright here, not bad at all. I like that fact that it's a such a change of pace club as compared to many other in the city.
Peyton's Playpen in Sunset Park- Sunset Park is another big upcoming area, a lot of development coming this way. D, N, or R Train. Not far from the docks, it's an industrial area. So while there's not parking lot at least at night you should be able to find parking right around the block on 40th street. Pat down, $10 cover. Alcohol club. Two long stages down the middle. Not privacy in this club really just able to dance out on the side couches but then again nobody is really policing you too much either. Lap Dances are $20. Good amount of girls work here, majority latina or black. Pretty good talent like 7 or 8's, low hustle laid back spot. If I had to pick one I would say this is my top pick for Brooklyn.
Food Recs. Damn Brooklyn has a lot. For sandwiches, you got to go Defonte's in Red Hook or Lioni's in Bensonhurst. Real old school spots. Pizza, many say it's the best in America, Di Fara in Midwood. Another Brooklyn pizza place that is super popular for their Sicilian (square) pie is Spumoni Gardens in Gravesend. Everyone in Brooklyn knows that spot.
No slam dunk strip clubs in Brooklyn right now but then again I wouldn't say any of these strip clubs are horrible. There's so much money and construction going into north Brooklyn I could see some new strip clubs popping in the near future chasing the wealth coming in. If you left in the 90's and came back now, you might not even recognize the area. I don't know if the yuppie type is necessarily a strip club fan but like I said you got almost 3 million people in Kings County alone. That is bigger than some states, your gonna tell me only 3 strip clubs is what we're going with? I don't see it.
Not a big article but instead of doing the whole outer boroughs in one shot I'd figured I'd break it up into individual boroughs to make it more concise. Now Brooklyn's own Junior Mafia take it home, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MljdVk0…
