I got there around 11pm on...

I got there around 11pm on a Friday night. The place was full. There were three stages going and all the dancers were young and eights or nines which is the best lineup I've seen in Portland. The dancer's stayed for three songs. Second song was topless and the third song was nude. I thought it would be difficult to get a seat at the rail but after the third song about a third of the people at each stage would get up and leave so it was no problems. Maybe because it was Friday night -- I don't know because I generally avoid prime time -- there were a surprising number of women in the audience. A few groups of two or three out on the town and a number of couples too. There was no hustling whatsoever, in fact I didn't see any couch dances going on but my back was to the small room next to the entrance where maybe one or two couch dances could happen. The girls seems to be raking up the dollar bills while they were on stage. My main complaint about the place was that the music was way too loud. I would have left much earlier if the girls weren't so hot. I stayed for three rotations on the stages and then finally I couldn't stand it any longer and went to the strip club across the street. My secondary complaint is that the dancing by a majority of the dancers was also very frenetic with furious ass-shaking and lots of pole acrobatics. Maybe it was because the dancers were young and the music was really heavy rock, I don't know, but I don't really find that style very sexy. I don't mind the pole trick or two and some ass-slappin' and high-heel clappin' but on the whole I prefer a more sensual style of dance.

After I left I went to the club across the street. I didn't find it listed here. I think it was called the Mirage. Anyway, it was a relief to step into that place after being in Club 205. The dancers were definitely a step down -- sixes and sevens -- but the music was at a pleasant volume where you could chat with the dancers, it was less crowded and felt more casual and welcoming. Next time I'm in Portland I'll try Club 205 during the day. Hopefully the dancers will be just as hot but the environment will be more laid back.
