This club is apparently closed, and...

This club is apparently closed, and closed for good. There is a sign outside that says "Closed for remodel", but at least one Sugar's dancer is now at another club and says that they were told to go get Seattle licenses since this Shoreline club isn't likely coming back.

It sounds like Sugar's has been a faltering operation for a while, probably profitable for the Colacurcios who are the owners of Rick's, Fox's, and Honey's but not the cash cow like Rick's or even Honey's. But with the Franks famously indicted a week ago and with the last year of investigation since the big raids of June 2008, it sounds like Sugars was finally shut down as a lost cause. I think the owners, having the only club in the Shoreline area (and with that area having a moratorium on new licenses giving them an effective monopoly) they were holding on to the club simply to wait out changing times, since Seattle's similar moratorium had been thrown out in court a couple of years ago. With the indictments etc, I think they've thrown in the towel on Sugars and the foothold it gave them in Shoreline.
