Sometimes you drive an hour and a half (fortunately there was another reason to be in the area too)and immediately realize the length of time it'll take you to consume the beer will be about 3 times longer than you'd really like to stay. It's all about the luck of the draw here, and this time the abbreviated roster of three included two unwatchable unmentionables and an overpriced superstar-my little buddy instantly knew he wouldn't be coming out to play today. Instead I had a moment to look around and note the cheap finished basement of the 70's look, the shredded stools with the stuffing hanging out,all the smoke you could hope to inhale in a space in which the top of your head practically grazes the ceiling, the Xmas lights still strung up in March (damn near)and one of the loud mouthed lit up bartenders throwing open the front door and flashing the main drag outside. Note to local yokels-they're throwing a 25th anniversary blow out on Tues the 3rd featuring all the gurls, buffet and 'giveaways.' I'm gassing up early.
