Reminds me of Irving's in MD...
Reminds me of Irving's in MD which is a club I really like, but Irving's works because it is small. This club is just a little too much of a good thing. You walk into it and there are people everywhere. I expected to see people falling from the ceiling it was so packed. Almost claustrophobic. More of a nightclub vibe than a strip club, but too well lit for that. Not that I spent much time in them, but night clubs were the only places I wanted darker then strip clubs.
The girls were fairly attractive and stacked. The patrons looked like all types and kinds, but almost everyone in the place was black. FYI, if nothing else. Atmosphere was pretty electric, kind of like Show Palace but there's more space to move around at the latter and the girls are much better looking. Since I think I've mentioned that club in three reviews running, here's the deal with Houston: If you want to see the best black club (which HK falls into), that's going to be Show Palace just ahead of Onyx. The best latino club in town is Michael's, and the best club period is Treasures. Harlem Knights is a pretty good club, but wouldn't say it's great and certainly think it's been oversold in a couple of the other reviews you'll read. Kind of like its movie namesake.
I was a little too sober for all the commotion, so I decided to head back to the car and look up some liquor options. Houston stops selling liquor pretty early, so I was out of luck. The parking lot attendant kept talking my ear off, some guy standing around with a box talked me into buying a magazine and DVD (Sizurp, I think it was). And safely at the car I just decided to bag it and move onto the next club. What a mess. If you visit this club, bring plenty of alcohol, a lot of patience and a friend.
