Having spent seven years in Urbana...

Having spent seven years in Urbana as a student, back in the horse and buggy days, I was shocked to discover that Urbana has not one, but two, strip clubs, and this one is actually within City limits--indeed, in a residential area. When I was a student, they couldn't get 2 o'clock closing passed by the City Council.

I was at this club at "prime time", midnight to about 1:45 on a Saturday night/Sunday morning (I guess they also got 2:00 closing passed...). The club was packed, to the point that I suspect they were in violation of the fire code. Adult beverages were reasonable to cheap...I paid 3.75 for a Corona at the single bar. In the universal college town dichotomy, this seems to be a "townie" bar. I saw a few couples who appeared to be college guys and their girlfriends, but this is mostly a blue collar set.

Strangely, I can't remember the style of music they played, although I do remember that the songs seemed to be fairly long, which is a good thing, since the main attraction of the club is the $10 lap dances. There is a single stage in the middle of the room, but when I was there, guys were sitting at the stage two deep. The contact rule is "no kitty/no titty", and the club seems to accomodate this rule by hiring dancers who have, on average, the smallest breasts of any club I can ever recall visiting. I only saw one dancer with implants, but they were so huge that it was as though she was trying to single-handedly make up for the modest endowments of her colleagues. Some of the dancers have a lot of tattoos, very extensive ones, like tattoos covering an entire ass cheek and thigh. On the other hand, about half the girls had no tattoos at all.
