Since I've been to this club...
Since I've been to this club so many times over the years, I thought that I would revisit my earlier review in order to be a little more honest. This club (formerly known as Diamond Dolls) is currently the only strip club within at least a 2-hour drive of Plattsburgh (not counting the much better options available just over the border in Quebec). They very recently have tried again to open up a little space on the web too (http://myspace.com/plattsburghdollhouse) where they apparently will be trying to have at least an updated weekly dancer schedule. The club is located on Route 9 well south of the city of Plattsburgh and north of Clinton Community College...just go south thru the small rotary, past the Stewarts shop & some car dealerships. The club is located diagonally across from some kind of Christian church (no kidding). If the club is ever sold (it was on the market not too long ago), the next owner will never be able to reopen a strip club at this location. The club has a small parking lot and is located right next to a railroad track where you might hear a loud thundering noise as the trains roll on by at high speed late at night. This club is open currently on TUE-SAT from 6 PM to between Midnight and 2 AM. I don't think that I've ever seen the club open past 2 AM before, and it's indeed rare that they even stay open until 1230-130 AM (especially if the club is dead with customers).
The club went through a very modest upgrade to its existing exterior (new aluminum siding) and interior (new, much more comfortable chairs and couches) appearance, but not a whole lot else has changed here apparently. There were plans to expand out the backside of the club and add some larger VIP areas and expand the existing, very small dancer's dressing room/female bathroom, but I'm not sure that will ever happen. The entrance to the club is on the side of the building, which is where you'll also find the club's employees and patrons smoking...as this is a non-smoking club. This club is a small rectangular building...it's an old roadhouse bar that was "coverted" about a decade ago. Enter and pay the $10 cover charge (you might get a break on this price if they only have a few girls working on a given night...I've seen it go as low as $3 when they only had one girl working), and you'll get a free choice of a non-alcoholic drink with the cover. This is a "juice bar" only, and no alcohol is allowed inside the club (they discourage the common practice of drinking out by your parked car as well). All drinks from the bar after the first "free" one are around $2. The stage dance area is located over in the far right corner of the club, and stage tipping is not expected (but appreciated when it's rarely done) here. You'll see dancers take the stage after picking their own music at a jukebox (songs range from 2-4 minutes long...with an automatic cutoff at around 4 mins.) and do one song almost fully-clothed, usually a series of topless mini-lap dances in the main room (for $1 each) on their second song, then usually get totally nude back onstage for their last song. The club's extremely small and smelly bathroom is back on the far left corner of the club (be sure to step up into it...it's kind of a weird setup). The dancer's dressing room/female bathroom is located right next to the men's bathroom (female patrons can expect to have to do their business in there simply behind a small curtain...watch your step again). The VIP lap dance area is located right next to the club's bar (no one is allowed behind the bar for any reason) and is separated into 4 or so couch areas in 3 open rooms separated by some dark curtains. Expect to be checked on periodially by the bartender, especially if it's the female bartender Jocelyn or her father Glenn (the other son Joey doesn't do much checking in my experience). The club is strictly run by a local family...you might hear some stories about some skimming going on by the son from the dancer's payouts or the cover charges when the club's nightly patronage is low. The clientelle here is mostly of the local-yokel variety with an occasional out-of-town business type. No need to get dressed up to go to this club for sure. Dancer's make around half of what they get paid (outside of tips) for their first 15 or so VIP lap dances, then they "max-out" and can keep almost all of their earnings from there on out.
The dancer's here are very varied in terms of looks, age, body type, and available mileage, but they are almost always white and from the local area. Higher mileage can usually be obtained from some of the older dancers. VIP dances are $25/2 songs and are usually full, mutual contact. Some dancers might not do their VIP dances totally nude (or might try and charge you more to go totally nude), but there usually is a good grind at least. "Extras" are rare here generally, but they usually include kissing, nipple play, touching below the waist, or maybe a random HJ or BJ. OTC is also pretty rare here but can include DATY or FS. "Extras" are officially frowned on as being illegal though. Expect to be aksed politely if you're interested in a dance, but the hustle factor is pretty low (just keep track of your dance count and beware the ripoff-priced 2-girl VIP show). You'll get extra points from the employees here if you volunteer to go for cigarettes or coffee up the street for them. You may hear the bartender announce who's going onstage or off-stage, but don't be surprised if there's no "DJing" here. The music will probably be too loud when Joey is bartending. You may see an occasional featured dancer or "house dancer" here, but don't hold your breath waiting for that.
