un chaud tête rouge
This club is in the suburban sprawl south of Montreal, but the culture is firmly Quebecois. It is advertised from billboards on the highways, but still a bit tricky to find the access road, so I recommend using GPS.
$5 Cover at the door and no ID check. There are tables around the stage, but all were taken by large parties. Behind the table area is the bar, with 2 seaters along a hallway that goes back to the restrooms. Dances take place in at least two areas: tiny arcade game sized cubicles that almost have a hidden entrance and some larger VIP thing to the right of the stage. I did not visit VIP, so I can't comment on its pricing, privacy or furniture.
Dancers: I saw around 10. All were either white or black. Each one I spoke with had a Quebec accent, so I don't think they have a lot coming from the other provinces like the Montreal clubs do. Three of the dancers were seriously hot, and would even stand out at a club like Chez Paree. The rest were not hot. My tastes are for all-natural girls with athletic bodies and GND cute faces.
Before seeing any of the hot dancers, a not-hot dancer approached me. She had an ok face, but was too heavy for my liking. We chatted a bit and she proposed dances. I was curious to see what this place was all about, so I took one for the greater good. She told me dances were $20 a song, and took me into a tiny booth. Once in there, you can see the other booths, even if you can't see the entrance. The dance was lame. Sort posing and a bit of lap sitting, but not the grinding nor the OTP I would expect at a place like this. After two I ended it.
I did not question the $20 a song as that seems to be the regional standard. However, once inside the booth there was a clear sign stating $15 a song. I asked and she told me they had just raised rates and not updated the sign. The next dancer charged me $15 a song.
The second dancer chatted with me for some time in franglish. This dance was also meh, but more down to lack of dance technique than intent. Her breath was a little off, and I ended it after two. She told me to keep going and that "we can have fun." I believe she was offering extras right there in the cubicle instead of VIP, but I didn't bother trying to determine her intentions.
A few more dancers approached but I wasn't into any of them. In terms of the three hotties, one blonde spinner was working on selling a VIP to the only customer in a suit (FWIW this place a total dive and banks closed 32 hours prior, so I can't imagine why he was in a suit). Another one was to the right of the stage, and she felt unapproachable due to the density of seated customers between us. As I was walking out, a smoke-show red head spinner took the stage. If I had seen her earlier I may have waited, but I wasn't about to make a spectacle of myself and turn around after saying au revoir to the bouncers.
There was a cop car idling in the parking lot when I left. I'll speculate that they were there in case it got rough, but perhaps they were looking for people stumbling to their cars?
