I used to be a big fan of this place. The past few years it has seemed to be on a downward trend but I'd still check in from time to time. Occasionally I'd become a regular again when a favorite dancer either re-appeared or migrated from some other club (usually Good Guys across the street). I've been almost exclusively a daytime customer for sll those years, and as noted below daytime has died. Last Friday however, after a particularly good afternoon at Good Guys that stretched into early evening I decided to give JP's night shift a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. The stage setup, as George mentioned, is far from ideal. After many changes, a few of which I probably missed, they've settled on a chrome/glass looking stage in the same wall as the bar with seating on the two sides. It is slightly bigger than the two stages they used to have on the opposite wall, smaller than when they tried to make the entire wall a stage, and in general a step up from the last setup I saw, but still far inferior to the old setup. All the seating (other than stageside) is at small round bar height tables across from the stage. Not nearly ac comfortable or pleasant as the old setup, but everything is newer and cleaner. Downstairs there is a second sattelite stage, only about 3' square and 1' high. Upstairs the setup is mostly the same, except they've moved the stage out of the corner so there is now seating on two sides. In the hallway upstairs the seating is the same, but the main room has gone to the high stools and tables also.

So now, the talent. Not having gone here nights for a long time I can't say if it has improved or declined, but there were plenty of hot girls on a Friday night. I saw several 8's and a few 9's, most rated 6 or above, but being JP's there were still a few of the same dancers who have been here for a decade or more past their prime. Those are the day girls. I've always heard JP's treats their dancers well. Perhaps the management needs to take a hint from GG's and be jerks on occasion. If all those good looking dancers working Friday night want those Friday night shifts maybe they should be required to work one day shift. That alone would help the daytime business and maybe bring some of the past fans of this place back in. They probably also need to get rid of a few girls, but we've been over that time and again.

I'm giving it a 7 for this visit. I'll probably try another Friday night if I find myself in the area, but the jury is still out on this club. Hope they pull it out by getting some more decent dancers and getting rid of a few. At this point no amount of re-decorating is going to help.
