Two Visits, One Worthwhile Success, Cheap by USA Standards

Returned to Bogata on a Thursday after four eventful days in Medellin. Went to Club Fiebre Sex twice. Thursday was fun and not crowded so you could move around. Friday was a different story. It was a national holiday and the clubs worth visiting were packed. Think any Saturday night in Hong Kong at 11:00 pm.

The club itself is in an area of two city blocks with about eight other clubs. Two of the streets are blocked off and the area is saturated with police. Thursday night the police were all just trading stories. Friday, near the entrance to the block, they were apparently patting random guys down and digging through pockets and backpacks. I do not know what their criteria was, but it seemed to be limited to a few individuals with backpacks.

We entered all of the clubs with a superficial pat down and barkers on our heels. No cover. Overall, the staff was reasonably friendly at every location.
