Elegance at a Cost

Friday May 1 was a holiday, Labor Day in Colombia. Many of the bars were packed. Not this one.

Enroute, we went through a residential area and pulled up outside of an elegant white house with well-dressed men out front smoking. Thought we were in the wrong place. As we drove up (Uber), we were greeted with enthusiasm (hand shaking) and led up a short flight of well-lit stairs. A brief, security theater type of pat down and we were in.

The house inside is a surprisingly large, multi-level facility. A modest stage at the head of the room with a single pole, seating was mostly couches. Bar at the far wall. The walls were white and the lighting was very bright. No one performed on the stage during our time there, so the lighting might change during the performances.
