Yes Marv - There Are Other Places That I’d Rather Be Than Right Here Right Now
This club is an an industrial park that is conveniently located to the airport but a considerable distance outside of Buffalo. I drove by a nearby school bus parking lot on the way, and I laughed at the idea of all the school bus drivers heading over here after work. Then I laughed at the owner of the club originally trying to fancy-up Buffalo with its Egyptian “Pharaoh” theme. Those may have been my last couple of smiles for the afternoon. I had low expectations for dayshift at a Buffalo strip club, but after some relatively positive TUSCL reviews my expectations weren’t quite low enough.
Plenty of free parking. There was nobody at the entrance so I walked-in. A sign suggested the cover charge would be $10 later in the evening. There was a large main stage, and a smaller and lower stage to the right near the main bar. The bar appeared well-stocked and they had a nice selection of craft beers. As my eyes adjusted from the bright sunlight to the dark clublight, I felt a bit ashamed to find myself with the few PLs sitting at the bar. I got a Labatts Blue for $5 and took a seat among them.
There was intermittently a dancer on one of the stages and what seemed to be a single dedicated PL giving her dollars. There was no pole work if any of you go to strip clubs only for the gymnastic artistry. Western New York is a notorious pastie territory, but none of the women I saw on stage took off even their tops. There were a few dancers of various sizes and ink, but not a single one interested me even a bit (hmmm - Buffalo could use some Cubans). Most of the dancers hung-out at the bar and maneuvered to get close to the PLs drinking there. It was pretty clear that I was new meat and there was eager anticipation that I might have more than $12 in my pocket.
