How to make nude stage dances boring

I made my first ever visit to Archibalds around 9PM on a Saturday. The TUSCL web site says that the club opens at 6PM so I thought it would be in full swing by 9PM. Wrong.

The club entrance is off of K Street in an upscale part of DC. I walked to the club from a downtown hotel so I didn't have to hassle with parking, but it looked like a few, not many, spots were available on the street. I hiked up a set of stairs and made a slight jog to the left to find a nearly empty club, a bartender and one dancer were sitting at the bar chatting. The club is small and narrow, almost like a converted row house. It was nicely appointed with a bar and tables mostly to the sides the stage. The stage was a small raised platform that had a metal hoop suspended from the ceiling that some of the dancers used in their stage routine. Unless you are sitting on a bar stool directly across from the stage or at one of the small tables immediately adjacent to the stage, you do not have a very good view of the dancer on stage.

I was not charged an entry fee, maybe a function of only one dancer being on duty. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer from the bikini clad dancer who also doubled as the bar tender. I asked from some ones in the change and I didn't count my change so I'm not sure exactly how much the beer cost. I chatted with the two women for a few minutes. They said that other dancers would arrive later and that they had a porn star feature around mid night. After 15-20 minutes I was on the verge of leaving when the bikini clad dancer got on the stage. I tipped her 20 dollars in ones and she did perform nude. Decent body but she was not especially engaging, spending most of her stage time admiring herself in the mirror that is immediately behind the stage.
